Narrative Essay on How I spent my holiday

Holidays hold a special place in everyone’s life, offering a respite from the routine of daily tasks and providing an opportunity to explore, relax, and create unforgettable memories. This year, I decided to spend my holiday in a way that was both enriching and exhilarating. I ventured on a journey to a small coastal town, renowned for its pristine beaches, rich culture, and vibrant local life. This narrative essay unfolds the experiences, discoveries, and personal growth I encountered during my holiday.

The Journey Begins

My adventure commenced with the excitement of traveling to a place I had never visited before. The anticipation built up as I packed my bags, ensuring I had everything needed for a week of exploration. The journey to the coastal town was a scenic delight, with winding roads flanked by lush greenery and the occasional glimpse of the ocean’s horizon promising a serene escape.

Exploring the Coastal Town

Upon arrival, the beauty of the town exceeded my expectations. The air was filled with the salty breeze of the sea and the streets buzzed with the energy of daily life. My first day was spent wandering through the town, taking in the sights and sounds. I visited local markets, where I marveled at the craftsmanship of the artisans and indulged in the town’s culinary delights, tasting dishes that were a fusion of traditional recipes and the bounty of the sea.

The Heart of Nature

The following days were dedicated to exploring the natural wonders surrounding the town. I embarked on hikes through nearby trails, each revealing breathtaking views of the landscape. The highlight was a trek to a secluded beach, accessible only by a narrow path through the cliffs. The effort was rewarded with a serene beach, untouched by the hustle and bustle of tourist spots. Here, I spent hours swimming in the clear waters, reading under the shade of palm trees, and reflecting on the simple pleasures of life.

Cultural Immersion

My holiday was not just about relaxation but also about immersing myself in the local culture. I attended a traditional dance performance, where the rhythmic beats and expressive movements of the dancers told stories of the town’s history and folklore. I also participated in a cooking class, learning to prepare local dishes that combined fresh seafood with exotic spices, gaining not only culinary skills but also insights into the lifestyle and traditions of the people.

The Bond of Friendship

One of the most unexpected and rewarding aspects of my holiday was the friendships I formed. Whether it was conversations with local residents, sharing stories with fellow travelers, or the camaraderie with the host of my accommodation, these connections added depth to my experience. Through these interactions, I gained a richer understanding of the world from different perspectives, reminding me of the value of openness and the universal language of kindness.

Reflections and Realizations

As my holiday drew to a close, I found myself reflecting on the journey. Beyond the relaxation and enjoyment, it was a period of personal growth and learning. I had stepped out of my comfort zone, challenged myself to try new things, and embraced the unfamiliar. This holiday taught me the importance of slowing down, appreciating the moment, and the joy of discovering new places and cultures.

My holiday in the coastal town was more than just a break from routine; it was a journey of discovery, connection, and personal growth. It reminded me of the beauty of our world, the diversity of its people, and the shared experiences that bind us. As I returned home, I brought back not only souvenirs and photographs but memories that will last a lifetime and a renewed sense of adventure, ready to explore what lies beyond the horizon.

My last holiday was a five-day trip to Prague in the Czech Republic. I know Prague well because I lived there when I was at university, more than ten years ago.

Instead of staying in a hotel, I stayed with one of my old friends. It was so much fun, and a little bit like my old life. I wanted to do all the same things I did in my university days, so I visited the university. It has changed a lot and looks more modern. I also went to the supermarket near my old house. I loved seeing all the different foods. I was really happy to find my favourite cheese and chocolate biscuits but they were a bit more expensive than I remember!

We did some touristy things too. We walked up beautiful Petrin Hill and around the castle. The views of the city are amazing up there. We walked across the historic Charles Bridge. My friend's flat is very near the TV Tower so we saw the famous baby statues climbing up it. Those things haven't changed, of course.

My last was holiday three-week trip to Fez in Morocco. Fez it’s my hometown so I know it well because I lived there for 26 years. I went to visit my family there and I stayed at home, every day I was invited by my sisters and brothers, they made me delicious dishes and we had a good time together. I’ve been seeing my friends every day in the café, we’ve been seeing football matches and we’ve been talking about different topics. In this holiday I made many things important for me, I had driving courses to be confident when I’m going to buy a car, in the same time I had English courses.

My last holiday was a three-day trip to Thua Thien Hue in Vietnam. I always want to go there, so in the summer of last year, I decided to take a trip to Hue with my family.

We booked a small hostel near Hue Walking Road. We stayed in a twin room, which was clean and had full amenities. The owner was very friendly; he showed us good restaurants, attractions, and how to deal with sellers in the market. We tried local foods such as Bun Bo Hue, Banh Xeo, Banh Bot Loc, etc. The food in Hue is cheap and amazing; I thought that I could eat it all day!

We did some touristy things too. We visited Hue Capital and had a chance to learn more about Vietnam's history. The architecture is very majestic and beautiful. We also went to Thien Mu Pagoda. It is one of the most sacred temples in Vietnam, so we prayed for health and happiness and wished everyone good luck. In the evening, we walked across the historic Trang Tien Bridge. It was so beautiful at night; there were a lot of people walking there.

It was three amazing days. I felt so relaxed and hope to visit more places in Vietnam.

My last holiday was a two-day trip to Baguio in the Philippines. I had lived there before for five months. So I decided to go back for just a visit on my holiday. Unfortunately, there was heavily raining as we got off the bus. Otherwise, getting a taxi was super hard, and we were waiting for around an hour. Fortunately, I got home safely and I made so much fun with my friends. I visited the old places that I often did because it made me happy and refresh. In conclusion, I had so much fun spending my last holiday in Baguio.

I remember last year when I went with friend to the beach in summer. My Lastsummer holidays was 2days and 3 nights trip to Ngwe Saung Beach in Myanamr . Ngwe Saung, is a beach resort located 48 km west of Pathein, Ayeyarwady Region, Myanmar. In 2014, the town of Ngwesaung had 10,732 people. The beach is 5hours drive with no traffic away from the principal city of Yangon. Ngwe Saung is well know for An unspoilt 15 kilometres stretch of silvery sand and modern amenities have made Ngwe Saung a popular destination for less budget conscious tourists from Lower Myanmar. I booked for our stay at a hotel near the beach, name was "Grand Paradise Hotel ". My friend and i prepared everything we needed on our trip as light food and soft drinks to have on the way to the hotel. And also we prepared necessary clothing for the sea, sun cream and some essential medicines. After 5hours of driving we arrived the hotel at 12PM afternoon and went to our rooms to rest change clothes and take all what we need to go to the beach. This Hotel is near the beach, all services was good and room are cleaned, wide and nice. We put our bags on the table and went to swim in the sea and then went out for lunch that my friend ordered from a fish restaurant . The Crab ,Lobster and fish was fresh and tasty and we enjoyed our meal very much. After lunch we sat under the canopy enjoying the sea view, refreshing breaths ,listening to music and playing fun games. OH really nice Ngwe Saung beach Myanamr.

My last holiday was far away in time in different reasons. We were at black sea coast on September so there where not so much other people. We was drinking a wine that was cheap there and going some excursions

My last holiday. Last summer, in particular on the last weekend of June, I decided to visit Granada, an amazing city in Spain. I visited Granada for the second time with my family, my wife, and two daughters. I was so happy because I visited Granada sights, especially Alhambra Palace, and Civilization Museum. We arrived at the hotel by bus at 11 a.m. The hotel was wonderful and clean, and the food they offer was delicious. My family really liked the traditional typical dishes of Granada, in particular the dish named Baella. During the holiday, I met some of my Spanish colleagues and they invited us to visit their house which is located in a nice village in the city suburb. Really, I liked this place for the large landscape, calmness, and the kind people who live in. On the fifth day of our holiday, we walked around the city and saw the old city which has been built above the mountain. So, you can see the whole city from above it. Despite the enjoyment that we have got, the negative thing about that holiday was that we spent so much money and also many friends need to buy some things from there, so I bought some souvenirs and I hope that I can keep one for myself to remind of that divine place. By and large, this holiday was great and unforgettable thanks to my Spanish friend, Gaspar, who provided me with a Guidebook which makes my trip easy and coy.

My last holiday was four days on São Miguel dos Milagres with my family. We stay on the beach house of my grandpa. There is a pool, and four rooms in that. There we go to the beach, to some interesting restaurants, to a beach clube and to an ice cream shop. I love that travel and i'd love go back to São Miguel dos Milagres.

On the first weekend in March, we took an amazing trip to Barcelona. We went by train from Atocha station and the journey lasted two and a half hours.

When we arrived at the historic Barcelona Sants station, we took the metro to Plaza de Tetuan, which is where we had the apartment. We left our baggage and went to visit the city centre, Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya, La Boqueria Market, Paseo de Gracia, etc. On Sunday, we saw the beautiful Sagrada Familia which is my favourite landmark. Later, we went to the incredible Nou Camp stadium to see the Barça game against Valencia. After the game we visited the official store and did some shopping but everything was very expensive. On Monday, before returning to Madrid we went back to the Nou Camp to take a guided tour of the trophy room, changing rooms, benches, and the VIP box.

At the end, we went to the apartment to take the suitcases and so, we took the metro to the Sants station where we boarded the high speed train back to Madrid.

I go to Thailand for a camping holiday, It was fun I go caving on the first day, I see many bets are sleeping on top of the cave.(no time to finish)

Descriptive Essay: How I Spend My Holidays

Introduction.

I spent my time in Devon in the United Kingdom. The truth is that I was given a contract to sell pewter jewelry, but most of the US had been taken up and my supplier was unwilling to allow me to take any of the remaining areas because my business was too small.

Me and my girlfriend found a ticket to the UK that was very cheap, but it took us to Hull. When we were there we stayed the night in a cheap hotel and went looking for transport. Luckily for us we found a lowlife willing to sell us a battered Volvo for just fifty pounds. Without insurance or an MOT we set off to make the 350 mile trip to Devon. It took us around 12 hours, but that is because we made occasional stops.

We stopped off at Newbury where their famous Newbery fruits candy is made. We also stopped off at the very disappointing Stonehenge. The people there had fenced it off and wanted £13 each for us to enter and go take a look. We parked just outside the compound and held our camera over the fence and took some photos that were really zoomed in. it was just a bunch of rocks in the ground and we were thoroughly unimpressed.

When we got to Devon we found a small nature reserve that was up a very large mountainous hill. There was a camp site there so we set up our tent and spent the night. We were so high up that there was often mist in the air. We woke up at around 7am to an eerily misty atmosphere. You could see the mist move like smoke as small gusts of air caught it. We saw a deer sneaking around to see if the campers had left anything, and just as the others in the compound were waking up we started to see rabbits come out of their hiding places and scamper off into the woods.

We traveled around Devon trying a few shops, but nobody was interesting in buying the jewelry and putting it in their shops. After a few rejections we lost our nerve and decided to spend the rest of our time as a holiday. The weather was very mild with very little rain and lots of sun. It was completely different from the rest of the country which is often windy or rainy with grey skies.

We saw a beach with light yellow and white sand, which is unusual in most other places in Britain. We also noticed how blue the sea was, which is another thing that is very uncommon in Britain because most of their sea is brown for around ten miles out to sea.

We accidentally locked the keys in the car and had to smash a back window to get at them. We took it to Stansted airport where we found a plane ticket to take us back home to America. We abandoned the car in the airport and left on our plane. It was a nice place to go on holiday, and the people all seem very nice, posh and sophisticated. I would recommend going to Britain for a holiday, just give Stonehenge a miss.

How I spent my Holidays | Essay | Short & Simple

December 17, 2017 by Study Mentor Leave a Comment

Well, how great and happy it feels when we plan for vacations. It is the best thing to think about. It is the best time for all of us. Whenever I am free I think of spending some time with my family. Since I am studying away from my home I always miss my home. I miss my family. I miss the food of my house.

The worst thing that we have to face is the degraded food. It is hilarious over here. For the students in hostels can relate to this problem. Home is home. There is no comparison to it. No money and no materialistic thing can match up with the pleasure and satisfaction that is given only by our home. It is given only by our family.

I always wait for my summer vacations to come. It is the only time when I go to home after a very long period of time. I get a holiday of around a month. This time we planned to go outside on a tour. I waited eagerly for the days to pass. I was counting every single day of my college.

I had even made a calendar wherein I used to put a cross mark on the days. This was the level of my excitement. It was so because this time it was not just about meeting my family but going on a tour. It had been a very long since we went on a holiday trip together. It was going to be a very memorable one. Every -thing was planned and I was about to leave for the home.

It was a very good feeling going to home. I was on my seat travelling by train. I enjoyed the green crops passing by me through the window. Since I live in a metropolitan city I do not use to see things. It feels like home to see the greenery. Every -thing charges me up and remind me that I am getting closer and closer to my home town.

How I spent my holidays jaipur

Now it was time for the final discussion of the planning. Well, it turned out to be a surprise for me. Our trip was planned for Jaipur. It is the capital city of the state Rajasthan. It is very famous for the palaces and the historical stories. I had a special kind of affinity for the historical places.

The very famous Hawa Mahal is also built in that city. It is also known as the oink city of our country. Amidst all the planning I came to know that we were to travel by airplane.

This was like a huge surprise for mw. Since I had never travelled in an airplane it was a very big thing for me. It leveled up my excitement into another level. I was very happy. There was no news that could match up to my happiness that I felt after hearing that plan.

I started up packing my bag. I kept all my best dresses for the trip. I kept more of ethnic clothes since it belonged to historical values. I kept matching pairs of ear rings with my dresses. I made all my preparations. The very next day we had to leave for the airport.

My excitement could not let me sleep for the whole night. We woke up next morning and headed towards the airport. For the first time I went to an airport. It was very grand and big one.

It was beautiful in the structure and design. I looked at everything with much amazement.  We boarded the flight. I enjoyed my flight. I saw the air hostess serving us. I enjoyed each and every bit of the flight.

We landed and headed towards our hotel. Yes, it is so true that the city was a pink city. Every building there was in pink color. It felt so mesmerizing to look at. The architect of the hotels was in the form of a palace. Everything was so beautiful there. I felt good to have come to that place.

How I spent my holiday essay

The paintings were amazing. Everything was so beautiful and different. I did not feel like moving. I used to get at one place. The beauty was such that one could stand and gaze at it for hours. We saw the rooms where Jodha Bai lived.

After the Qila we went to another fort. We went to Jaigarh fort. In that fort there is largest weapon that was used in battle at that point of time. It has its name in the Guinness book of world records too. It was big. It was huge. It was gigantic. The fort was on height.

After that we went to Nahargarh fort. The fort was at the highest peak of the city. From there we could the entire city. It was very beautiful to look at. The beauty could not be described in mere words. I loved that place. It had grabbed me in such a way that I did not want to leave that place.

We saw the Hawa Mahal. We saw the Chaukidani. It was famous for the varieties of Rajasthani dishes that it served to the tourist. It had a great taste.

II. Samples

“In my holidays, I enjoy a mix of activities. Sometimes, I indulge in traveling, exploring new destinations, and experiencing different cultures. Other times, I opt for a more relaxed approach, visiting my hometown to reconnect with family and friends.”

“I typically spend holidays with my immediate family, which includes my parents and siblings. We enjoy coming together to celebrate special occasions, sharing meals, and creating cherished memories. Occasionally, we also invite close friends to join in the festivities.”

“I prefer traveling with a group. It enhances the overall experience by fostering companionship, sharing moments, and allowing for diverse perspectives. Group travel often leads to memorable adventures and creates a sense of camaraderie that enriches the journey.”

As far as I know, there are tourists visiting during Independence Day, but rather than because of the holiday, it is mainly due to the lovely autumn weather in September. It’s the perfect time to stroll around the city while taking photos of the autumn leaves.

I don’t do much during holidays. Since I’m a family-oriented person, I tend to stay home on these days and spend some quality time with my family. We love hosting big parties and inviting relatives over.

Essay Sample on How i Spent My Christmas Holiday

december christmas

There was nothing to worry about, however. My mom’s old friend lives there, and she helped greatly in arranging matters. She was kind to inspect the apartment offers found on the Net. Her husband, who is a civil engineer, commented then on all the pros and cons in each case, so that we could make up our minds more easily. He also recommended a reliable van line – they delivered all the breakables we decided to transport safely. Not to pay too much for transportation, we thought it wiser to buy some of the furniture and major appliances when already at the new place.

And that’s where Christmas shopping campaigns (which I usually find too hectic to my taste) came in handy. Due to numerous discount offers, bonuses and other perks, such as free delivery, we managed to furnish our new home with nicest things without it costing us an arm and a leg. Of course, touring the shops took us not one day but ten, but every minute spent was definitely worth it. I was lucky to participate in it all – thus I had the better part of December off school (well, I just had to work harder for a while at my former school).

After we bought the necessary furniture and home appliances, Mom and Dad got busy with some minor repairs and redecoration. As for Christmas ornaments, they delegated this task wholly to me. Oh, how glad I was! I can say I love festive preparations not less than the celebration itself, so I set about the task with all my heart.

For inspiration, I went window-gazing every day; those walks were magical in and of themselves thanks to light snowfalls that lasted a week. The streets were beautiful; I also visited malls. I sauntered past shop windows, took snapshots of designs I liked, and then discussed them with Mom and Dad. We brainstormed the best suggestions, and next I went to collect supplies for the DIY-able things and buy some ready-made ornaments. After that, with time free from school at my disposal, I devoted myself to creativity. It was bliss – if I’d had to attend classes, like it was every December before, I wouldn’t have even half the opportunity to indulge in all the arts and crafts that I love. I made fabric accessories, felted and papier-mâché ornaments, bunting, table decoration, greeting cards and gift wrapping.

Apart from that, I gave a hand in redecoration, too. While Mom was busy cooking, Dad and I went on pasting new wallpapers, hanging curtains and light fixtures. After a few more days of work, we made another tour to stock on groceries (which was a bargain, too due to all the special offers); then all that was left was arranging the furniture, buying a Christmas tree, decorating the place and preparing dinner.

On December, 25 we invited Mom’s friends over to our place. We presented them with a set of designer ceramic vases for their beautiful home, and they gave us a fondue pot, some fine Belgian chocolate and a pound of delicious strawberries which we relished as well as our long chat that wonderful Christmas night.

Holidays are an incredible time for us to visit hilly destinations with the family. The summer season is an excellent time for us to take stress-free excursions and get close to nature, which we are unable to do in our busy schedules for the entire year. Last year I visited my grandparents and stayed there for 15 days. The cool thing about the summer holidays is discovering and creating new things in the village. While enjoying my stay, I also learned some new things that expanded my knowledge. I spent the rest of the holidays playing games and cooking under my mother’s supervision.

How Do You Spend Your Weekends? IELTS Speaking (10 Example Answers)

You might be asked about your weekends in part one of your IELTS Speaking test. A common question would be, “How do you spend your weekends?” or “What do you usually do on weekends?”

In this post, we’ll look at how to answer this question really well, with 10 good example answers ( go straight to the answers here ).

At the Weekend vs On the Weekend

In the US, we usually say ‘on the weekend’ and in the UK we usually say ‘at the weekend.’

Both are good English but it’s more common to say ‘on the weekend’ because US English is more commonly spoken around the world.

What You Can Talk About

Simply explain what you usually do at the weekends. It doesn’t have to be very exciting or interesting. You might mention that you:

  •   Catch up on sleep (have a ‘lie in,’ which means staying in bed for longer)
  •   Spend time with your kids
  •   Meet up with friends
  •   Relax at home watching TV, playing games, reading books
  •   Do household chores
  •   Run errands
  •   Go grocery shopping
  •   Do a hobby
  •   Exercise
  •   Attend English classes
  •  Do overtime work
  •   Do your homework
  •   Go on trips
  •   Anything else that you do at the weekend

Tip: Use Frequency Phrases

This kind of question is a good opportunity to talk about frequency (how often you do something) and use some interesting frequency words or phrases.

To talk about how often you do something, you can say:

  •   Every now and then
  •   Every other weekend
  •   On occasion
  •   Most weekends
  •   I’m in the habit of
  •   More often than not
  •   Once in a while

Keep It Simple and Fluent

In part one, there’s no need to try very hard to use advanced vocabulary and grammar.

Part one is only to warm you up. So the best thing you can do to impress the examiner is to speak quickly, without hesitation.

This means trying to be fluent . And it’s easier to be fluent if you don’t slow down while trying to think of clever vocabulary.

In part two, you will have more time to think about your answer. So save your advanced vocabulary for then.

Use the Three-Step YES Method

You also don’t want to say too much in part one. Your answers should be short and sweet (about 10 to 20 seconds is enough).

To help you give the right kind of part-one answer, follow the three-step YES Method. Just say:

  •   Y our answer (one or two things you do on the weekends)
  •   E xplain your answer (say how often you do those things, why you do them, or describe them in more detail)
  •   S top talking (fall quiet and wait patiently for the next question)

Example Answers

Here are 10 good example answers to this question. Read them and think of ideas for your own answer.

Chores and Errands

1. Well, most weekends, I do chores like cleaning the house, doing the laundry, and ironing my clothes. I also run errands, such as grocery shopping and collecting deliveries, and things like that.

Meet Friends

2. I’m so busy during the week that I only really have a chance to meet my friends on the weekend. We usually play poker on Saturday night, and sometimes we have a big dinner together as well.

3. I love to stay in shape, so at the weekend I wake up early and go jogging, the same as I do on weekdays. I also go to the gym for yoga classes and on Sunday afternoon I play tennis with my friends, more often than not.

4. I work in a language school, so I have unusual working hours. Saturday and Sunday are actually my busiest days for work. My days off are usually Tuesday and Wednesday. That’s when I relax and do leisure activities.

5. My teachers give me so much homework, which I have to finish over the weekend. If I do it really quickly, then I usually have some free time to hang out with my friends.

Take Kids to the Park

6. I’m in the habit of taking my kids to the park on the weekend if the weather’s nice. I’m very busy during the week, so the weekend is the only chance I get to spend quality time with them.

7. I like getting out of the city on the weekend. Every other weekend I go hiking with a few friends. There are two mountains near my city, which are lovely to climb.

English Classes

8. These days, I spend my weekends studying English. I attend at least four classes each weekend, and also do plenty of English exercises by myself at home.

9. Usually, I try to visit an interesting place on the weekend with my family, like a museum or famous sight or a beautiful garden. And every now and then, we go on a day trip to another city nearby.

Nothing Much

10. To be honest, I never want to do anything on the weekend. I just like to have a good long lie in to catch up on sleep. And then I stay at home, watching TV, chatting with friends, or playing phone games.

Now It’s Your Turn to Try

Give this question a go yourself.

Turn on the recorder on your phone and ask out loud, “How do you spend your weekends?” or “What do you usually do on weekends?”

Answer as quickly and fluently as you can. Use the three-step YES Method.

When you’ve finished, listen to your recorded answer. If you notice any mistakes, think about how you could say it better.

Then do it again, and again, and again.

This is a great way to prepare yourself for any part-one question in your IELTS Speaking test.

Everyone loves holidays, whether they are for one day or one month! Students especially look forward to their annual school vacation. They love that they don’t need to get up early for school and can get extra sleep hours. It’s a healthy break from a routine. Kids plan so many things for their holidays; some want to spend it with their cousins in their grandparent’s or relatives’ house. Some plan for a family holiday where they visit and explore new places. It is also a good time to learn new things or pursue new hobbies. Holidays are magical days full of fun and enjoyment.

Kids love to talk about their holidays. Therefore, writing a holiday essay for classes 1, 2 and 3 kids is a joy. Here is a short essay on holidays for children:

Routine life is boring, especially for kids. Holiday is the magic word that gives them a break from their school routine. Whether it’s a short break or the annual holidays, every student eagerly waits for them. Holidays are the time when they can sleep late, wake up late and spend hours playing. Parents won’t rush them to complete homework. Nor would their parents stop them from playing extra hours. Some kids even invite their friends for sleepovers or movie nights. Most kids don’t get enough time to learn new sports or hobbies during school days. So, the holidays are the perfect time to learn how to play the guitar or go swimming or even join that reading club. Most families plan a get-together during long holidays. It is the time to visit new places and enjoy yourself with family. Holidays give us a break from everyday life to relax and rejuvenate.

Here is a long holiday essay for class 3 students. Kids can read and learn from it to write a long essay on holidays for their school assignments.

One thing that never fails to make us smile is the word holiday. Whether we are young or old, we all look forward to holidays. They are the perfect time to relax and take a break from our daily routine. Our days of leisure, are the most important and memorable days of our lives. Let’s understand how important are holidays and ways to enjoy them the most.

Importance of Holiday For Students And Working People

Everyone loves holidays. However, they hold a different level of importance for different people. For students, holidays are the time when they can do extra things apart from their studies. In their daily school lives, students don’t get much time to pursue their hobbies or interests. During holidays, they can explore a new interest or get themselves enrolled to learn new sports. Trying new things is important for a kid’s overall development. Kids also get more time to spend with their families and friends. So, holidays give them the perfect opportunity to do things they cannot do during school days.

Working people equally love holidays as young kids. Their long working hours and hectic lifestyle don’t leave them much time to relax or enjoy their hobbies. So, during the holidays, they relax and rejuvenate. They sleep in late, wake up late and enjoy the whole day with the family. During holidays, they can go on trips with family or friends to rejuvenate.

How To Make The Most Of Your Holidays

To fully utilise the holidays, one should list what they want to do or don’t get to do on their normal days. It could be spending time with friends, learning a new hobby, or sleeping late. Then, as per the time and number of days, start ticking things off the list. A new hobby or sport can be learned if you have long holidays. For a short holiday of a few days, a family trip can be planned. Just remember your holidays are the time to enjoy, relax and have lots of fun.

An essay on ‘holiday’ is a great way to teach your child the importance of relaxing, unwinding and doing better in our lives. Through this essay, they will also learn about various things they can do during holidays. While writing an essay on holidays, kids will learn the value of playing sports and learning new hobbies to become active and smart.

Some noteworthy points about holidays:

1. Why Is A Holiday Important?

Holidays are important as they give us time to relax and rejuvenate. During holidays we get more time with our near ones and can pursue our hobbies.

2. How One Can Spend His/Her Holiday?

One can spend their holidays in numerous ways. They can pursue their hobbies, learn new interests like singing, dancing, sports or arts, spend time with friends or go on a trip. The list is endless.

Holidays are best enjoyed when they are spent doing things we like or with people we love. They are the ideal time to learn or do extra activities, spend time with family and relax. Writing an essay on holidays will allow kids to explore their thoughts and desires related to this beautiful topic.

Election Updates: G.O.P. slams Biden after transgender holiday falls on Easter.

In addition to the ballot initiative on abortion, the Florida Supreme Court approved a ballot initiative for a constitutional amendment that would legalize the recreational use of marijuana. Polls have shown national support for legalizing recreational marijuana at record highs, but it is least popular among Republicans — who have a significant advantage in statewide elections in Florida.

Reporters dread April Fools’ Day — when any innocuous prank can cause confusion or lead to an embarrassing error. In what appears to be one of the boldest practical jokes of the day, the Trump campaign announced in a fund-raising email that Donald Trump was suspending his presidential campaign. “JUST KIDDING,” it said in a huge font that was bold, underlined and highlighted bright yellow. “HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!”

A Florida Supreme Court ruling will transform the state into an electoral testing ground for the power of abortion rights. Separate decisions upheld both a ban on the procedure and paved the way for a constitutional amendment that would guarantee a right to abortion to appear on the ballot. Florida has been trending Republican and many Democrats are eager to see whether the energy for abortion rights could help them claw back some ground.

Eager to remind voters that Donald Trump is still repeating false statements about the 2020 election, the Biden campaign attacked him for his false claim in a radio interview today that he won the battleground state of Wisconsin then. “Trump is reminding voters he has nothing to offer but resentment, revenge and retribution,” Brianna Johnson, the spokeswoman for the Biden campaign in Wisconsin, said in a statement.

Donald J. Trump, ahead of the Tuesday rally he has planned in Wisconsin, a key battleground state, is repeating his false claim that he won the state in the 2020 election. Trump, in a local radio interview today, said that there was “a lot of wrongdoing” uncovered, a claim for which there is no evidence, and that he “actually did win” the state, which he lost by more than 20,000 votes.

Senator Raphael Warnock, the Georgia Democrat and a Baptist pastor, criticized Donald J. Trump on CNN on Sunday for selling $60 Bibles . “The Bible does not need Donald Trump’s endorsement, and Jesus in the very last week of his life chased the money changers out of the temple — those who would take sacred things and use them as cheap relics to be sold in the marketplace,” he said.

After Trump allies accused President Biden of minimizing the religious significance of Easter, Donald Trump posted an all-capitals Easter message in which he attacked the prosecutors in his criminal cases, calling them names and criticizing their cases. “Happy Easter to all,” he wrote, saying he extended those wishes to “those many people that I completely & totally despise because they want to destroy America.”

Donald Trump’s hawking of a $60 Bible provided fresh fodder for “Saturday Night Live,” which parodied the former president the night before Easter. The sketch opened with the resurrection of Trump, played by James Austin Johnson. “If you order now, we’ll also throw in a free Trump miracle toaster. You know sometimes weirdos see a picture of Jesus in their toast. Well, how about the miracle of Trump!”

A transgender holiday fell on Easter. Republicans lashed out at Biden.

The Republican outrage machine kicked into gear over Easter weekend after President Biden noted that Sunday was being celebrated for more than one reason.

International Transgender Day of Visibility is observed every year on March 31. Easter is observed on the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the spring equinox.

This year, for the second time since Transgender Day of Visibility was established 15 years ago, and the last time until 2086, the two happened to coincide. President Biden publicly honored both of them , as he has done every year since he took office in 2021.

Republicans responded with a flurry of statements declaring that Mr. Biden had besmirched Christianity — the latest manifestation of anger that, over the past few years, has often flared up after public acknowledgments of transgender people.

Mr. Biden released a proclamation on Friday to “honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives.”

On Sunday, Mr. Biden said that “Easter reminds us of the power of hope and the promise of Christ’s resurrection.”

Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for former President Donald J. Trump, said Mr. Biden should apologize to people who believed Sunday was “for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” The House speaker, Mike Johnson, said Mr. Biden had “betrayed the central tenet of Easter.” Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee called his proclamation “an intentional attack on religion.”

Many Republicans said falsely that Mr. Biden had declared Sunday as the transgender holiday, though the day has been observed for years.

Their comments drew sharp pushback from Democrats, including Senator Raphael Warnock of Georgia, a Baptist pastor. “Jesus centered the marginalized. He centered the poor,” Mr. Warnock said on CNN on Sunday. “And in a moment like this, we need voices, particularly voices of faith, who would use our faith not as a weapon to beat other people down but as a bridge to bring all of us together.”

Ms. Leavitt and Mr. Johnson, among others, also claimed that Mr. Biden was leveling another attack on Christianity by banning religious designs from an Easter egg decorating contest. The contest, however, has banned such designs under presidents of both parties.

“As a Christian who celebrates Easter with family, President Biden stands for bringing people together and upholding the dignity and freedoms of every American,” Andrew Bates, a White House spokesman, said in a statement.

Mr. Bates added: “Sadly, it’s unsurprising politicians are seeking to divide and weaken our country with cruel, hateful and dishonest rhetoric.”

Criticism of transgender people has become a central component of Republican cultural rhetoric and legislation. Many conservatives have treated recognition of or appearances by transgender people as an affront, including boycotting Bud Light after the company sent beer to a transgender influencer for promotion.

Mr. Biden’s proclamation also condemned the array of laws that Republican-led states have passed, restricting transgender people’s use of public bathrooms, participation in sports, access to transition care and more.

Florida’s Supreme Court allows a 6-week abortion ban, but voters will get to weigh in this fall.

The Florida Supreme Court overturned decades of legal precedent on Monday in ruling that the State Constitution’s privacy protections do not extend to abortion, effectively allowing Florida to ban the procedure after six weeks of pregnancy.

But in a separate decision released at the same time, the justices allowed Florida voters to decide this fall whether to expand abortion access. The court ruled 4 to 3 that a proposed constitutional amendment that would guarantee the right to abortion “before viability,” usually around 24 weeks, could go on the November ballot.

Read the Florida Supreme Court’s Ruling on the Abortion Ban

The Florida Supreme Court overturned decades of legal precedent in ruling that the State Constitution’s privacy protections do not extend to abortion, effectively allowing Florida to ban the procedure after six weeks of pregnancy.

The rulings encapsulated, in a single state on a single day, how the country has grappled with the abortion issue since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the Roe v. Wade decision that recognized federal abortion rights in 1973.

The conservative-leaning court found 6-1 that a 15-week abortion ban enacted in 2022 was constitutional. That ruling — in response to a lawsuit brought by Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union and several abortion providers — will allow a six-week ban enacted last year to take effect by May 1.

“Based on our analysis finding no clear right to abortion embodied within the Privacy Clause, Planned Parenthood cannot overcome the presumption of constitutionality and is unable to demonstrate beyond a reasonable doubt that the 15-week ban is unconstitutional,” Justice Jamie R. Grosshans wrote in the majority opinion.

In paving the way for the six-week ban, the court cemented the rapid transformation of Florida, once a destination for women seeking abortions in the American South, into a place with restrictive policies akin to those in surrounding states.

But allowing the ballot measure gave supporters of abortion rights a chance to continue their national campaign to preserve access to the procedure by giving voters the opportunity to directly weigh in on the issue. Ballot measures in favor of abortion rights have already succeeded in several states, including Ohio and Michigan.

Read the Florida Supreme Court’s Ruling on the Constitutional Amendment

The Florida Supreme Court allowed voters to decide this fall whether to expand abortion access, ruling 4 to 3 that a proposed constitutional amendment that would guarantee the right to abortion “before viability,” usually around 24 weeks, could go on the November ballot.

“This is a historic day in the fight for abortion access in Florida,” said Lauren Brenzel, director for the Yes on 4 campaign that put forth the ballot measure. “No longer will decisions about abortion be left between politicians disconnected from the realities of everyday Floridians’ lives.”

Abortion rights groups in about 10 states are trying to put measures on the ballot to secure access; Florida is the largest of those states.

Historically, many women from Southern states with tighter restrictions on abortion have traveled to Florida for the procedure. They will now have to seek abortions much further away, perhaps in Virginia or Washington, D.C. Few women realize that they are pregnant at six weeks, and backers of abortion rights say the stricter ban, once effective, will amount to a near-total prohibition.

In its ruling allowing the six-week ban to take effect, a majority of the justices argued that past abortion cases had been wrongly decided based on an overly broad interpretation of the State Constitution’s privacy clause — an argument similar to the one the U.S. Supreme Court made in overturning Roe .

The privacy clause in the Florida Constitution states: “Every natural person has the right to be let alone and free from governmental intrusion into the person’s private life.” The Florida Supreme Court first ruled that it applied to abortion in 1989; in 2012, voters rejected an amendment that would have exempted abortion from constitutional privacy protections.

But on Monday, a majority of the justices said that voters did not understand the privacy clause to extend to abortion when they added it to the State Constitution in 1980, citing among other things the public and legislative debate at the time.

Justice Jorge Labarga, the lone dissenter, noted that the ruling would have far-reaching consequences.

“The impact of today’s decision extends far beyond the 15-week ban at issue in this case,” he wrote. “By operation of state statute, the majority’s decision will result in even more stringent abortion restrictions in this state.”

The justices narrowly approved the ballot measure, saying it complies with Florida requirements that it be clear and limited to a single subject. Those who dissented argued in part that the language in the ballot question is too vague and could lead to years of further litigation.

Neither of Monday’s rulings was a surprise: The seven-member court has moved to the right politically, with Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, appointing four of the justices. But while the court had a Monday deadline to rule on the abortion measure, it faced no similar timeline to rule on the abortion ban.

By issuing both rulings on the same day, the court gave abortion opponents a sought-after decision narrowing privacy protections. But by also allowing a ballot measure to expand abortion access, it gave those groups little time to celebrate.

Immediately after the court ruled, opponents and proponents of the ballot measure accused the other side of being extreme, previewing their likely campaign messages.

Republican lawmakers who supported the 15-week and six-week abortion bans argued that the ballot measure would allow abortions late in pregnancy. Abortions after 21 weeks are extremely rare and usually follow severe medical diagnoses.

“This is not about government’s interference with abortion but about allowing abortion until the moment of birth,” said State Senator Erin Grall of Vero Beach, who sponsored the six-week ban.

Ms. Brenzel countered that it was the lawmakers who were out of step with a majority of Floridians. Public opinion polls have suggested that most Floridians believe abortions should be legal in most cases.

And Danielle Tallafuss, a Central Florida resident who had an abortion at 22 weeks after learning that her fetus had a life-limiting heart condition before the state restricted the procedure, said women should be able to make the decision to terminate a pregnancy with their doctors.

“My heart has been in turmoil since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and Florida’s passage of a 15-week abortion ban,” she said. “Today I am filled with hope that residents will be able to vote in November to give abortion access back to the women of this state.”

An earlier version of this article incorrectly described the breakdown of the Florida Supreme Court decision that allowed an abortion measure on the November ballot. The justices ruled 4 to 3; they were not unanimous.

Trump Media shares slump as early fervor fades.

Shares of former President Donald J. Trump’s social media company slumped just over 20 percent on Monday, as the fervor around the company’s debut on public markets last week appeared to subside.

The sell-off cut the market value of Trump Media & Technology Group, which trades under the ticker “DJT,” by some $2 billion, to about $6.5 billion.

The value of Mr. Trump’s majority stake in the company fell to about $3.7 billion, from over $6 billion at its peak last week.

Still, shares of Trump Media were higher than they were immediately before the firm merged with a public shell company on Tuesday and began trading on the Nasdaq. Strong support for the merged company after it began trading pushed its market value as high as $10 billion at one point last week.

That raised eyebrows across Wall Street, given the relatively small size of Trump Media’s business. A filing on Monday showed that the company generated just $750,000 in revenue in the fourth quarter last year, bringing its full-year total to $4.1 million. Trump Media recorded a $58 million loss in 2023. It got more than $300 million in cash as part of its merger with the shell company.

All the company’s revenues come from advertising on Truth Social, the digital platform that has become Mr. Trump’s main outlet for reaching his supporters and blasting his critics, political opponents and other perceived enemies, including the prosecutors and judges involved in his criminal and civil cases.

Over the weekend, Mr. Trump shared a video on the platform that had an image of a decal on the back of a truck of a hogtied President Biden .

Trump Media stands out on Wall Street as the market’s most “shorted” stock — shares that investors bet will fall. Derivatives linked to the stock, which allow investors to speculate on its future price, have also been popular, suggesting that traders are braced for more big price swings — both higher and lower — in the weeks to come.

It is not uncommon for so-called meme stocks, which are heavily influenced by momentum and the enthusiasm of masses of small shareholders, to be extremely volatile, prone to sudden and steep increases and declines.

One question surrounding Trump Media is whether the company’s board will relax a provision that prohibited Mr. Trump from selling stock or using his shares as collateral for a loan for six months after the shares began trading. But in Monday’s filing, the company said the board made no changes in the lockup provision.

That makes it unlikely Mr. Trump will rely on his stake of about 60 percent in Trump Media to help pay for the posting of a $175 million bond in connection with his appeal of a civil fraud penalty imposed by a New York state judge.

Mr. Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, is not a member of the company’s seven-member board. But because of his large stake, Trump Media is considered a “controlled company,” where more than 50 percent “of the voting power for the election of directors is held by an individual.”

Trump Media’s board is already under Mr. Trump’s sway, as its members include his eldest son and three former members of his administration. Mr. Trump, who served as chairman of Trump Media before the merger with the shell company, is not an officer or director of the company now.

After the merger, Trump Media adopted a code of ethics that requires “covered persons” — board members and employees — to engage in political activities only as private citizens. If these people engaged in political activities, they “must make clear that their views and actions are their own, and not those of the company,” according to the code.

Also on Monday, two of the main defendants in a $22 million insider trading scheme stemming from the October 2021 merger announcement of Trump Media and Digital World Acquisition Corp. were scheduled to appear in federal court in Manhattan on Wednesday to change their not guilty pleas, according to an entry on the court docket.

The federal authorities have charged Michael Shvartsman and his brother Gerald Shvartsman with using nonpublic information about the proposed deal to make highly profitable trades. Both men were scheduled to go on trial this month.

No one associated with Trump Media was implicated in the scheme. A lawyer for Michael Shvartsman could not be reached for comment, and the lawyer for his brother declined to comment..

Biden hosts White House Easter egg roll; Trump heads to battleground states.

President Biden and former President Donald J. Trump have sewn up their parties’ nominations, but states are still wrapping up their primary contests before the two parties’ respective conventions this summer.

Voters will head to the polls on Tuesday for presidential primaries in five states: Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Rhode Island and Wisconsin, one of the battleground states where Mr. Trump is headed on Tuesday. He will stop first in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Mr. Biden, on Monday, will be at the White House for the annual Easter egg roll. And this week he will travel to Baltimore after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. He has said the federal government will “pay the entire cost of reconstructing” the bridge.

Mr. Trump seemed to spend much of the holiday weekend fulminating on social media.

On Sunday, after his campaign and allies spent the weekend accusing Mr. Biden of minimizing the religious significance of the Easter holiday, Mr. Trump posted a message in all capital letters attacking the prosecutors in his criminal cases, calling them names and criticizing their cases. “Happy Easter to all,” he wrote, saying he extended those wishes to “those many people that I completely & totally despise because they want to destroy America.”

On Saturday, he shared an article on social media with the headline “The Crucifixion of Donald Trump,” a reflection of how he is demanding — and receiving — new levels of devotion from Republicans .

And on Friday, Mr. Trump posted a video that featured an image of Mr. Biden with his hands and feet tied together, underlining the increasingly violent and personal attacks he has made during this run for president, his third.

While the political world’s attention has been focused largely on the presidential race, control of the Senate will be hotly contested this fall. Democrats hold a one-seat majority and are defending seats from Maryland to Arizona. Control of the chamber could easily flip to the Republicans. Here are 10 races to watch.

A Republican congressman says the Gaza war ‘should be like Nagasaki and Hiroshima.’

A Republican House member from Michigan openly mused during a town hall last week about wiping out Gaza, telling his constituents that “it should be like Nagasaki and Hiroshima.”

“Get it over quick,” Representative Tim Walberg said, according to a video that emerged online from the March 25 event in Dundee, Mich.

His remarks, invoking the U.S. atomic bombings of Japan during World War II while discussing his opposition to U.S. humanitarian aid for Gaza, drew swift condemnation, including at least one call for his resignation . He said that his remarks were taken out of context and that the clip showed only part of his response.

Justin Amash, a former House G.O.P. colleague in Michigan and a Palestinian American, denounced Mr. Walberg for his comments, writing on X on Saturday that they “evince an utter indifference to human suffering.

“The people of Gaza are our fellow human beings — many of them children trapped in horrific circumstances beyond their individual control,” Mr. Amash wrote. “For him to suggest that hundreds of thousands of innocent Palestinians should be obliterated, including my own relatives sheltering at an Orthodox Christian church, is reprehensible and indefensible.”

Mr. Amash, the only sitting Republican member of Congress to support President Trump’s first impeachment, left the Republican Party in 2019 while facing attacks by Mr. Trump. Mr. Amash is running in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Michigan.

In a post on X on Sunday morning, Mr. Walberg, 72, a former pastor and a longtime House member who represents southern Michigan, sought to clean up his remarks and accused his critics of twisting his words.

“As a child who grew up in the Cold War Era, the last thing I’d advocate for would be the use of nuclear weapons,” he wrote. “In a shortened clip, I used a metaphor to convey the need for both Israel and Ukraine to win their wars as swiftly as possible, without putting American troops in harm’s way.”

Mr. Walberg’s office also provided an audio recording and a transcript of the exchange that prompted his remarks. He had been asked why the United States was spending money to build a pier to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

“We shouldn’t be spending a dime on humanitarian aid,” he said, according to the recording. “It should be like Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Get it over quick. The same should be in Ukraine. Defeat Putin quick. Instead of 80 percent of our funding for Ukraine being used for humanitarian purposes, it should be 80 percent, 100 percent to wipe out Russian forces, if that’s what we want to do.”

R.F.K. Jr. is criticized by Cesar Chavez’s family for his event on Cesar Chavez Day.

A campaign event on Saturday intended to galvanize support among Latino voters and organized labor behind Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential bid instead drew condemnation from the family of the labor organizer Cesar Chavez, who accused Mr. Kennedy of exploiting the Chavez name for political gain.

Mr. Kennedy’s campaign held a “celebration” of Chavez in Los Angeles ahead of March 31, Chavez’s birthday, which is recognized as an official holiday in California. The Kennedy family has a decades-long history of friendship and political partnership with the Chavez family, dating to Mr. Kennedy’s father, Robert F. Kennedy.

But in a letter Friday addressed to the campaign, Chavez’s eldest son, Fernando Chavez, writing on behalf of the Chavez family, asked Mr. Kennedy to stop referring to his father or using images of him, and threatened legal action.

“It causes us great pain to see your campaign repeatedly using our father’s images along with related documentary film and photographs of him to suggest the alignment of your campaign with the values of Cesar Chavez,” the letter said. “It is our sincere conviction that this association is untrue and deceptive.”

In a statement Saturday, Mr. Kennedy said the event was intended “to honor Cesar Chavez and his close friendship with my father, my family and me, and his impact on our country.” In an interview Sunday, he said he had repeatedly reached out to members of the family in the weeks before the event, but heard nothing until reporters called on Friday about the letter, which he said the campaign never actually received. (The letter was emailed on Friday to the campaign’s press office address, a family spokesman said.)

“Of course, if they had asked me, we would have done something else, very, very easily,” Mr. Kennedy said. “If people in the family had wanted us to cancel the event, it would have been quite easy for them to pick up the phone.”

Mr. Kennedy’s father formed a bond with Chavez in the mid-1960s, when he was a senator, and became the first national political figure to embrace Chavez and the farm labor movement he was working to build. In March 1968 , Robert F. Kennedy famously sat with Chavez as he ended a 25-day fast he undertook to make penance, he said, for the violent rhetoric of some strikers.

In 1980, when Mr. Kennedy’s uncle, Ted Kennedy, was seeking the Democratic nomination for president, Chavez and his family — including Fernando Chavez — worked with the Kennedy family, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., on Latino voter mobilization, Fernando Chavez and the younger Mr. Kennedy both recalled.

At Cesar Chavez’s 1993 funeral, the younger Mr. Kennedy was among the people who took turns carrying the coffin. The Chavez family letter expressed gratitude for those pallbearers, but noted that while other elected officials and future political candidates had been among them, “To our knowledge, none of them have featured images carrying the casket in their political campaign materials and promotions. We take offense at the use of such sacred moments purely for political purposes.”

In an interview Sunday, Fernando Chavez said writing the letter was “a very difficult decision, in light of the Kennedy family’s support over the last 45 years, and knowing and working with him personally.”

He said the family’s decision to distance themselves from Mr. Kennedy stemmed from two matters: a belief that Mr. Kennedy’s candidacy could draw enough votes from President Biden to hand the election to former President Donald J. Trump — a common concern among Democratic Party leadership. Additionally, the family takes issue with Mr. Kennedy’s outspoken skepticism about the Covid vaccine, in contrast to the Biden administration’s focus on pushing for vaccinations for union and farm workers. “A lot of people lost their lives because of anti-vaccine conspiracy theories,” Mr. Chavez said.

Mr. Chavez said that he had spoken with some of Mr. Kennedy’s relatives before sending the letter on Friday and that they supported his decision. Several members of the Kennedy family have publicly repudiated Mr. Kennedy’s presidential bid.

Two weeks ago, on Saint Patrick’s Day, members of the Kennedy family posted pictures of the extended clan gathered at the White House with Mr. Biden. Several relatives have previously released statements calling his candidacy dangerous. A Super Bowl ad by a super PAC supporting him, which repurposed a 1960 presidential ad for Mr. Kennedy’s uncle, John F. Kennedy, also drew ire from the family.

On Sunday, Mr. Kennedy blamed the conflict with the Chavez family on Democratic Party leadership. “I think it’s unfortunate that the White House and the D.N.C. feel that they have to divide family and friends and cause these kinds of wounds.”

The Chavez family has endorsed Mr. Biden’s re-election and his campaign manager, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, is one of Chavez’s granddaughters. Mr. Biden has a bust of Chavez in his office. On Friday, the White House marked Cesar Chavez Day with a proclamation affirming support for unions and farm workers.

In remarks at Saturday’s event, held at the old ticket concourse at Los Angeles’s Union Station, Mr. Kennedy described Chavez’s connection to his family, and how his work as an environmental lawyer drew him into contact with Chavez, particularly on the matters of pesticides and the southern border. In his speech, Mr. Kennedy called for tighter border controls and a temporary migrant worker visa program.

“We need to change the system, and right now I’m the only candidate who’s doing it,” Mr. Kennedy told the crowd.
