Defense Day is celebrated in Pakistan as a national day to remember the sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending its borders. The date of 6 September indicates the day in 1965 when Indian troops joined the international border to launch an attack on Pakistani Punjab, in a riposte to Pakistan’s Operation Grand Slam targeting Jammu. While it is officially commemorated as an unprovoked blow attack by India, which was repulsed by the Pakistan Army despite its smaller size and fewer armaments, This narrative has been criticized by Pakistani commentators as representing false history.

Defense Day is celebrated in Pakistan as a national day every year on 6 th Sep in memory of those who were martyred in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and the successful defense of Lahore, Sialkot, and other significant areas of the country. it is going to share about the Defence Day Of Pakistan in English on 6th September. There is no doubt that it is the day celebrated as the memory of martyred people. Those are special people with extraordinary traits to sacrifice their lives for Pakistan. It originated as the defense day of the country during Pakistan- India War II which was fought in 1965. 6th September was the day when both stopped their order for the weapons. It is known as the Defense Day of Pakistan. The quest to get the highest position in the region has no future and both countries make a ceasefire on this day.

The main reason to celebrate this day is to tell other Pakistani citizens how brave Pakistani soldiers were. This day is celebrated full of sorrow for all of these people and the soldiers who were martyred in the war while defending Pakistan.

Let us pay honor to our brave soldiers who were martyred for their country and give a lesson to the enemy that they will never ever forget. Today we need that eagerness, the unity of faith, and restraint in our country, to get it back on track. I hope that this day is a candle of hope for our coming generations…….

Summary of messages of the President, Prime Minister, Federal Minister for Defence, and Chiefs services will be aired. Defence day: for honour and inspiration.

defence day speech in english for class 8

Very often we take for granted our freedoms as citizens of an independent country and the peaceful surroundings of our city and other places in Pakistan that we visit. This freedom and peace is ensured by the military and security agencies that work round the clock to protect our country from foreign and other kinds of domestic threats. Their role is to work for the defence and security of the country under the guidance of the civilian government; and their personnel make great sacrifices, if necessary, in the course of their duty.

The contributions of the defence services provided by our military forces are marked by the annual celebration of the national Defence Day in our country.

defence and security of the country under the guidance of the civilian government; and their personnel make great sacrifices, if necessary, in the course of their duty.

Defence Day, as the name suggests, commemorates the day when our national armed forces successfully defended the attack of Indian forces on our country in the 1965 war. It is a tribute to our armed forces and all the martyrs of the war. It is celebrated on September 6 each year.

Defence Day is celebrated each year in memory of the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistani armed forces in the 1965 war

The enemy attacked our borders on September 6, 1965, with a view to invade the attacked areas. It was a reaction to stop the advance of Pakistani military in India Occupied Kashmir. They mainly attacked the regions of Lahore, Sialkot and the desert areas of Sindh. The battle lasted till September 22, 1965, when both sides accepted the United Nations-administered ceasefire.

Our military was successful in defending not only the areas attacked but also in protecting the lives of thousands of civilians and their homes. As such, we owe a duty to honour and respect all the military personnel of our country who gave up their lives so that we, our relatives and our fellow countrymen could live peacefully. This respect and honour should also extend to all those military personnel who supported our martyrs, risked their lives and lived to tell the tale.

Many of our martyred national heroes were given awards for their gallantry and bravery. The highest military award of Nishan-i-Haider was awarded to Major Raja Aziz Bhatti, for his extraordinary role in defending the Lahore Bedian area in 1965. He is among a handful of other gallant and brave military personnel who were martyred and awarded the same award in other battles and wars. They gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives in the defence of Pakistan.

Defence Day is also a day to renew our pledge that we are a strong, proud nation, and that we would not be intimidated by any foreign nation, no matter how strong it is. Our military is a symbol of all that and much more. It embodies the fighting spirit, bravery and tactical acumen of the great nation of Pakistan. And Defence Day is the day to celebrate and remember all that so that we can be strong and give the right message to the youth and children of the country.

A series of military parades and events are organised on Defence Day all over the country. Latest technologies and advancement in military warfare are also displayed in military parades. Sometimes, test launches of newly-developed weaponry also happen on this day. The obvious aim of these events is to remember our heroes and showcase our strength in military terms. Our television channels and social media also play their part towards that aim.

We all should be proud of our strong military forces and their constitutional role in guarding the physical frontiers and security of our country. We might be facing economic issues, but we are protected from foreign threats by what many around the world regard as one of the best military forces in Asia. When we salute our past war heroes, we pay respect to their sacrifices.

But our military not only engages in combat during war, but also contributes to the nation in peacetime. The forces also often perform humanitarian activities in disaster-hit areas and provide national relief services in the events such as floods, earthquakes, etc. Many of the armed forces’ institutions such as their schools, colleges, hospitals etc. working under the control of military, provide valuable services to civilians as well.

It is never late to honour and salute our national heroes. Any school or community function can be arranged at any time to honour all those men and women in uniform who have served to defend our country. Awareness of their importance and efforts can be raised on social media as well by us. Our chats and conversations with family and friends can also involve the topic of the importance and constitutional role of the military.

If that provides inspiration to youngsters to join the military to selflessly serve the country, that would be a noble result.

English Summary

1 Minute Speech On Defence Day In English

A very good morning to one and all present here. Today, I’ll be giving a small speech on the topic ‘Defence Day’.

Defense days of various countries are celebrated on different days. Do you know when India’s Defense day is celebrated? It is observed on the 3rd of March every year.

Why was this particular date chosen? Because it holds significance with regard to the Armed Forces of India.

The Sudanese Government in 1941 gave India’s governor general a thousand pounds during World War II to build a war memorial in commemoration of the sacrifices made by Indian soldiers in the liberation of Sudan during the East Africa campaign. In 1946, Joint Service Military Academy was established. On October 6th, 1949, Nehru finally laid the foundation for the National Defence Academy.

This day is to raise awareness of civil protection. Let us all commemorate our Indian Army, Navy, and Air Forces today!

Speech on Soldiers

Soldier Speech in English

Our brothers, fighting for the nation, are the soldiers who are the protectors of this country. A soldier sacrifices their lives in order to protect a million other lives. The soldiers do not get to lead a very comfortable life every day and still they dutifully protect their own country, they carry their duty with a badge of honor and hence they are so committed towards it.

Speech on Indian soldiers is the main agenda of this write-up. We have structured the speech in simple yet elegant English.

Why should we all know about our Soldiers?

After the formation of nation-states, it became important to keep the defense in place for protecting the country from any external threats. The defense system is created by the soldiers trained to fight during physical combat. They fight with so much risk for their life that it cannot be compared with any other profession of ours. It is our duty to recognize the sacrifice they give to protect the National frontiers and also during the rigorous training they go through. Knowing about the hardship every soldier bears can inspire the young generations and children to work hard in their life.

The word soldier is a very ancient word, initially referring to the mercenaries fighting for a war. In modern times countries have established a well-structured and dedicated army that is ready for battles at any point in time. The other 2 defense systems  are 'the Navy' and 'the air force.' The trained men forming these two groups are also the soldiers of the country. The whole military system is well managed with a top-to-the-down command structure. Some soldiers serve until they retire from their position and some never get a chance to retire and sacrifice their life on the line of duty. That is why it is very important for us to recognize and appreciate our soldiers serving for the peace and development of our nation.

Students can learn many things from the Army of the country such as discipline, hard work, punctuality, dedication, determination, survival in any type of environment, and a lot more. So speech on the soldiers is very informative as well as inspiring for the students listening to it.

Long Speech on Soldiers

Honorable Principal, Respected teachers, and my dear friends, I greet all of you a very Good Morning and happy Independence Day.

On the eve of this auspicious day, I would like to dedicate my speech to our beloved brothers, the soldiers of Mother India. Today we are celebrating this day with such a great festive spirit, with peace in our mind, I am able to deliver my speech with great calmness and out of fear, people today will celebrate this day with a lot of enjoyment all these are possible as we know we are not vulnerable to the enemy or foreign attacks, as the borders are sealed by our brave soldiers. With this in our head that the soldiers are up there performing their duty, be it 3 in the sunny afternoon or 3 in the frosty cold night, we can peacefully do our chores or go for a sound sleep. For all these and for other innumerable gratitude that I feel within me, I would like to give a grand salute to all these fighters serving our nation.

We frequently hear the news that our Indian soldiers are fighting on the Indian borders all day and all night without any failure to protect the country from the attacks of terrorists and to protect the people of India. For this, we acknowledge and are very grateful to every soldier of this country for being the bravest heroes who go through the pain and struggles only to provide us with a peaceful life. It seems they have vowed to keep every single day of ours safe and secure.

For every soldier, the nation for which they serve comes first even before their own family. For their profession, the soldiers do not get enough time to spend with their families. A soldier never hesitates to sacrifice their own life for the safety of their nation. So, the families of these fighting soldiers always wait eagerly for their safe return to their homes.

The soldiers are constantly living under various life-threatening conditions. They remain unsure about when they will be able to return to their own home and meet with their family. In order to safeguard a peaceful night for us, the soldiers put their everything and for their motherland.

My heart is filled with respect and love and my eyes get moist for the splendid brave deeds of the soldiers and their sacrifices.

You must be aware of the fact that our country India, in the whole world has the second-largest Indian military force. These armed forces include the Indian Air force which is aerial warfare and the air space, the Army that is the inland bases, and the Indian Coast Guards, which are the Indian Navy.

The soldier’s disciplined life is dedicated in such a manner that will keep the soldier firm on their battlefields to fight against their enemies who try to harm the nation.

These soldiers protect us from all directions. In the land, the Indian Army protects us, in the water, the Indian Navy protects us and, while being in the air, the Indian Air Force protects us. The soldiers ensure our safety and security in all other possible ways.

Hearty Greetings to our teachers and to our special guests,

This speech is dedicated to our brave soldiers who are our country’s pride. They are the people who selflessly perform their duties if required lay down their lives in order to protect our countries so that the Indian citizens can lead a peaceful life every day.

In such extreme weather conditions, the benevolent soldiers keep a watch on our country’s borders, they do this to ensure that no one is attacking our Mother India. The soldiers in the borders lead an extremely disciplined life so that they are able to tackle literally any difficult situation in any condition.

If any person wishes to join the army, the person should be strong enough to face all the physical discomforts and all the mental challenges to be ready to face the enemy during real war situations.

The soldiers never fail to be ready every time to face the enemies when they attack our country. A soldier is a true patriot who never hesitates to sacrifice his/her own life for our country.

10 Lines on Soldiers

A soldier’s duty is to protect their own country in any situation

There are soldiers from different bases, like for the land, there is Army, for the air, there is Air Force and for the water there is Navy.

The soldiers lead a very disciplined and tough life, this is done so that they do not become physically weak during the big battles.

A soldier is a true patriot who dearly loves his country.

They go through tough training every day in order to be prepared for the difficult days during wartime.

The soldiers live in barracks during their training period.

The soldiers also help people during a disaster.

Children’s Day Speech

Children’s Day Speech is given by both students and Teachers on the occasion of Children’s Day which is celebrated on 14th November. The day marked as the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister after Independance, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. Below we have shared the Long and Short Speeches on Children’s Day.

Children’s Day Speech in English

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed teachers, and my dear fellow students,

Today, as we gather here to celebrate Children’s Day, it is an absolute pleasure to address you. This day holds a special place in our hearts, as it is a day dedicated entirely to us, the future of our nation. It is a day when we come together to celebrate the spirit of childhood, innocence, and the boundless potential that resides within each one of  us.

Children’s Day, observed on the birthday of our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, is a day that not only honors his love and affection for children but also symbolizes the significance of nurturing, educating, and empowering the young minds of our nation.

Our beloved Chacha Nehru once said, “The children of today will make the India of tomorrow.” These words still hold true, reminding us of the vital role we play in shaping the destiny of our great nation. Our actions, thoughts, and dreams will determine the path India follows in the future. We must remember that the dreams we nurture today will be the reality we live in tomorrow.

In today’s rapidly changing world, the power of knowledge and education is unparalleled. We, the children, are fortunate to have access to education, a gift that not every child around the world is privileged to receive. This gift empowers us to dream, to think critically, and to make choices. It is our duty to make the most of this opportunity.

We must also acknowledge that along with the privilege of education comes the responsibility to be the change-makers in society. We must stand up against injustice, discrimination, and inequalities. Our role is not just to excel academically but to be compassionate, kind, and socially responsible individuals.

Every child is born with a unique set of talents, and it is our responsibility to discover and nurture those talents. Whether it is in the arts, sciences, sports, or any other field, we must strive for excellence. In our pursuit of greatness, let us remember that success is not measured solely by personal achievements but by the positive impact we have on the lives of others.

Today, as we celebrate Children’s Day, let us renew our commitment to learning, to growing, and making a positive difference in the world. Let us treasure the joys of childhood, the laughter, and the friendships that enrich our lives. Let us never forget that we are the future of this great nation, and with our potential and determination, we can achieve anything we set our minds to.

I would like to leave you with a thought by the great Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who said, “Dream, dream, dream. Dreams transform into thoughts, and thoughts result in action.” So, my dear friends, let us dare to dream, and through our actions, let us shape a bright and prosperous future for ourselves and our beloved India.

Happy Children’s Day to all of you, and may the spirit of childhood always stay alive in our hearts! Thank you.

Short Speech on Children’s Day

Good morning, everyone,

Today, we gather to celebrate a day dedicated to the most wonderful gift this world has to offer—our children. Children’s Day is a day to cherish the laughter, innocence, and boundless potential that each child brings into our lives.

Children are like stars; they shine in their unique ways. They hold the future in their hands, and it’s our duty to nurture and protect their dreams. As we celebrate this day, let us remember that we are not just celebrating our children, but we are also celebrating our future.

Children, you are the architects of tomorrow. Your dreams, your aspirations, and your actions will shape the world we live in. So, let your dreams soar high, for the sky is the limit.

Parents, teachers, and adults, let us stand by these young minds. Let us provide them with the love, care, and guidance they need to thrive. Together, we can create a world where every child’s potential is realized.

Happy Children’s Day to all the children. Thank you.”

Children’s Day Speech by Teacher

Respected Principal, fellow teachers, parents, and dear students,

Today, as we gather to celebrate Children’s Day, I feel both honored and privileged to stand before you as a teacher. Children’s Day is a special occasion that allows us to reflect on the importance of our children and their role in shaping the future.

Children’s Day is celebrated on the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, a great leader and the first Prime Minister of India. He loved children and believed in their potential. His affectionate nickname ‘Chacha Nehru’ is a testament to his special bond with children. Today, we honor his legacy and his commitment to the welfare and education of children.

As teachers, we are not just educators; we are mentors and guides. We have the incredible opportunity to influence and inspire young minds. It’s our duty to create a positive and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore their talents and ideas.

Dear students, you are the future of our nation. You hold within you the power to create a better world. As you celebrate this day, remember the importance of education and learning. Knowledge is the key that will unlock countless doors for you. Embrace it with enthusiasm and curiosity.

Happy Children’s Day to all the young minds here. Thank you.

Yom-e-Difa, or Defence Day , is celebrated every year in Pakistan on the 6th of September. It is a day to honor the bravery, sacrifices, and achievements of the armed forces of Pakistan. This day holds immense significance for all Pakistanis as it reminds us of the valiant efforts that were made to defend our beloved homeland.

On this day, we remember the historic events that took place in 1965 during the Indo-Pak war. This war was a result of the aggressive intentions of our neighboring country. Pakistan faced severe challenges, and it was the strong determination and unwavering spirit of our armed forces that played a vital role in protecting our sovereignty.

Our soldiers fought courageously and selflessly. They defended our borders and thwarted the enemy’s evil plans. They displayed exemplary bravery and gave their lives for the sake of our nation’s security. Today, we pay tribute to the heroes who fought valiantly and sacrificed their lives for our country.

The Defence Day celebrations begin with the hoisting of the national flag. Special prayers are offered in mosques for the well-being of our armed forces and for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. Patriotic songs are sung, and speeches are delivered to enlighten the younger generation about the significance of this day.

We should always be prepared to defend our homeland if the need arises. It is essential to remember that the safety and security of our nation lie in our hands.

To express our gratitude and support for our armed forces, we can contribute in various ways. We can write letters to soldiers, send care packages, and express our appreciation through social media platforms. Small gestures of kindness go a long way in boosting morale and reminding our forces that they are not alone.

In conclusion, Defence Day is a reminder of the sacrifices made by our armed forces to protect our beloved country. It is a day to honor their bravery, resilience, and dedication. Let us remember the heroes who selflessly gave their lives for our nation and worked towards building a stronger and united Pakistan.

The spirit of Yom-e-Difa should resonate with all of us as we strive to contribute positively to our country’s progress. Let us stand united and continue to support our armed forces who work tirelessly to ensure our safety and security. May Pakistan always prosper, and may the spirit of Defence Day live on in our hearts forever.
