Study of religions or Comparative Religions is a globally significance subject. Pakistan is also resourceful in this field. In many universities, there are special departments on this valuable subject. It is taught as compulsory course at BS & MA level in the departments of Isalmic studies in all universities. In many universities it’s also taught at MPhil and PhD level, some of them have produced hundreds of MS and PhDs dissertations on this subject. Due to its importance, it was a dire need to review and compile the titles of theses and dissertations, which are produced from the universities on the subject. In this study, efforts are made to review and compile a comprehensive index of such theses at MPhil and PhD level from Pakistani universities with statistical analysis. Due to its huge amount, the data is divided into two major types, Semitic and non-Semitic religions. The current study covers only Semitic/ Revealed and related topics. The word Semitic refers to the race of the son of Prophet Noah (A.S) or the areas where this race was spread and grew. Semitic Religions consists of; Judaism, Christianity and Islam. In this study, Biblometric approach is adopted with mix method approach. Total 393 theses of Islamic Studies on Semitic Religions are compiled and statistically evaluated in this paper. The study concludes that a good deal of literature and dissertations are available in Pakistani universities on Comparative Religions and Interfaith Studies. It is recommended that contents of theses should be analyzed for improvement of the Study of Religions in Pakistan

This model delves into the intricate interplay between intensive (emotional, internal) and expansive (cognitive, external) valencies, offering valuable insights into the dynamic structure of the text, emphasizing the tensive-active and sensory-perceptive relationships. This article explores how meaning is intricately woven in the enunciation, bridging the gap between quantitative and qualitative dimensions, thus shedding light on the production of meaning in the discourse processes within the Imam's letters to Mu’awiyah. The study transcends a mere analysis of the fixed letter structure, focusing on the fluid and adaptable nature of the letters' production process and the interactive dimension between the agent and the actor in the enunciation space.

Introduction

The Department of Urdu has been offering MPhil Urdu since 1987. Admissions for MPhil Urdu are announced in Spring semester (commenced from 1st February) every year.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have Master Degree in MA Urdu with at least 2nd division or equivalent qualification. Applicants have to pass concerned subject test, will be conducted by the Department. Only successful candidates will be called for interview.

Selection Process

Selection of the candidates will be made strictly on the basis of merit/criteria laid down by the Department/ University.

Medium of Instruction

Teaching methodology.

The University allots study centre and tutors for the students to get guideline accordingly. A student has to secure passing marks in assignments as well as in final exams to successfully complete concerned educational programme.

Home Library

About FUUAST University Libraries aim to encourage and support both academic and research activities of university students, researchers, faculty members and university staff. The libraries are equipped with a collection of 135531 volumes and provide a full range of services that include circulation, online information searching, reference services, and access to millions of digital resources.

Presently FUUAST University has three main libraries at Gulshan, Abdul Haq and Islamabad campus and 24 Departmental Libraries at Gulshan and Abdul Haq campuses. These Libraries are managed by qualified, experienced and dedicated staff.

Resources The library has acquired and developed variety of resources to support the teaching and research programs offered at FUUAST. They are well organized and easy accessible. The detail is as under:

Books A large number of high quality selected text and reference books are available in the library in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Management Sciences, Earth Science, Biological Sciences, and Social Sciences. Books are organized according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme and shelved subject wise accessing to Call Number (000-999) pasted on the spine of each item.

Magazine/ Periodicals The library has been subscribing/receiving different journals & magazines in print format. The current issues are displayed on special shelves in the sections. Back volumes of the same are bound and shelved separately.

Theses The library holds large no. of L.L.M, M.Phil, PhD theses of FUUAST students. These are an important source for research in different fields. All theses are classified and cataloged. Theses can be consulted within the Main Library, they cannot be borrowed.

Newspapers Library receives 17 national newspapers in English, Urdu, Sindhi languages. Library maintains Two years previous record of the newspapers for reference and research purpose.

Donated Personal Collection The library takes pride in the personal collection of Aftab Ahmed Khan, Prof. Jamil Uddin Aali, Aftab Zubari, Syed Wajahat Rasool Qadri, Prof. Rafi Aalam, Prof. Ishfaq Ahmed. The use of these collections is restricted only in the library premises.

Material on CDs. Library has approximate 1354 CDs in which digital books, software and other study aid material are available. Students / faculty can get its softcopy. Students can also use this material within the library. Click here for CD list

E.books Library has a large no of E-Books in PDF format. Beside these books students can access thousand of books through e library.

Digital Library The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan launched the National Digital Library in February 2004. provides researchers within public and private universities in Pakistan and non-profit research and development organizations with access to international scholarly literature based on electronic (online) delivery, providing access to high quality, peer-reviewed journals, databases, articles and e-Books across a wide range of disciplines.FUUAST University
