My City Pune is the second largest city in the Maharashtra state. People who have lived in Pune are used to calling it as Poona. The city was called Poona since the British rule. It is the seventh most populated city. It is 560 meters above the sea level and is on the Deccan Plateau. Pune is the cultural capital of Maharashtra and the people living in Pune are rooted and cultured. The city is also known as the ‘Oxford of the East’ because of the various institutions. It is also the city, which has the highest number of the youth population. It is the major educational hub and has a lot of foreign students as well that come and study in Pune. The Badminton game was also developed in Pune and it was earlier called as Poona. It is also the fastest growing cities in the country and is also a youth hub. The city was earlier known as Punawadi in the 13th century.

Pune is one of the cities in Maharashtra, which is dominated highly by the Maratha culture. The region was ruled by the Rahstrakuta Dynasty. The Pateleshwar rock was also built during this dynasty. The part of the region was ruled by Seuna Yadavas. In 1599, Pune was ruled by Maloji Bhosale. His grandson Shivaji was the founder of the Maratha Empire. The people of Pune has respect for Shivaji and they still believe in him. The city was ruled by the Marathas and the Mughals and in 1707 the Marathas decided that Poona will be their headquarters. In 1720, Baji Rao ruled the region and stayed in Pune. The city or the region was also ruled by Bajirao Peshwa. In 1818, the British invaded India and ruled the country. Many great leaders like Gopal Krishna Ghokale and Bal Gangadhar Tilak were born in this city and they fought for the independence. The city has gone through a lot of changes after the Independence. It has the National Defence Academy and also the National Chemical Laboratory at Pashan. It serves as the headquarters of the Southern command in the Indian Army. The city also has many IT companies and is also the education hub of India.

Art and Culture

The Hindu culture dominates the city. It also follows the various cultures of the different religion. The people of Pune are Marathas and the main festival of the people living in Pune is the Ganesh Chaturthi. They celebrate it with joy and love and the city lightens up for those ten days.

The dominating language of the city is Marathi, but people do speak Hindi and English as well. Because of so many students and institutes, students from across the country come and study here and hence it is a multi-lingual city.

The winters are also equally beautiful. If you hate the wet and rains then winter is the time when you should explore Pune. Moreover, the summers are hot and dry. Average temperatures are as follows:

• Summer (Mar-May): 30°C to 40°C
• Monsoon (Jun-Sept): 20°C to 30°C
• Winter(Oct-Feb): 10°C to 30°C

How to reach Pune?

• By Air:  Pune has an international airport, so it is well connected by flights. If you are coming by air, you can come directly to Pune or come to the nearby airport of Mumbai.
• By Rail and Road:  Pune is also very well connected by Trains and Buses which you can use if you are coming from anywhere in India. This is the cheapest mode of transport to reach Pune.

Moreover, there are a few places to visit near Pune, that are just amazing. All in all, you can plan a trip to Pune of 5-6 or 7-8 days, depending on your time availability and the things that you want to do in and around Pune.

Budget for Pune trip

Depending on how you spend your money, the cost of one person travelling in Pune is ₹ 4,000 – ₹ 5,000 per day ie $60 – $70 per day. This includes transport, daily meals and accomodation. If you join some trek group then the cost will go up for that particular trip. Moreover, a trip of one week for one person will cost from ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 ie. $ 350 – $ 430.

Is Pune Safe?

Pune is one of the safest cities in India. Apart from some Puneri sarcasm nothing else will hurt you when you are here. A popular Marathi quote exclaims ‘Pune Tithe Kay Une’ which means ‘There is nothing lacking in Pune’! And the city does more than live upto this quote that truly defines the whole and soul of the city. Fondly known as the cultural capital of Maharashtra, Pune sets an example in various aspects of life such as history, education, literature, heritage, theatre, music, food, sports and even science! In the recent ‘Ease of Living Index 2018’ survey released by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Pune bagged the title of India’s most liveable city for 2018. Pune was chosen among 111 cities and awarded the winning position based on parameters such as physical, economic, social and institutional.

Pune is not just a city but a state a mind!

Ask anybody in Pune and they would tell you why they chose Pune over every other city in India to live, work or even settle down. It is where time runs at its own pace and people define the culture and lifestyle at every nook and corner of the city! A proud heritage carried over since the Maratha and Peshwa Dynasty still lingers in the Peths and bylanes of the old city while the new city reflects changing times and a vibrant future of the city. A wonderful contrast carefully balances the old and new, ancient and modern, traditional past along with the evolving future. With such ever-changing shades, here is one city that welcomes and embraces you as one of its own. A day in Pune is bound to be a journey through history, culture and time.

1.) I'll eat some breakfast and then change the world! 

Start your day early! If you are travelling from Mumbai, then Pune is located at a distance of approximately 150 km. The travelling time is about 3 hours and it always helps to begin your journey early so that you get enough time to go around and explore. One more advantage! You get to enjoy some delicious breakfast either on the way or at Pune city. We recommend that you begin your Pune experience by eating at some of the most popular breakfast joints in the city.

2.) Relive history at Shaniwar Wada

After breakfast, head to the historical icon of Peshwa Dynasty – Shaniwar Wada! This 18 th -century fort is one of the most popular and intriguing attractions of the city. Built by Bajirao Peshwa I, it was the seat of the Peshwas of the Maratha Empire until 1818; after which it was captured by the British. Explore the courtyards, gardens, rooms and palaces of this iconic fortress that still resonate with the history of the Maratha period. If you visit during the evenings, you can even catch an exciting sound and light show that takes you through the journey of ‘Shaniwar Wada’.

3.) Pray with devotion at Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple

Next stop, one of the most prominent and sacred Ganpati temples of Pune! Established in the year 1893, this Ganpati Mandir is an extremely popular deity of people in Maharashtra and even around the world. The idol is placed in such a way that the local thoroughfare of Pune can get a glimpse of their favourite ‘Bappa’ even from the street outside. An extraordinary place of worship, Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir should definitely be on your Ganpati trail when you visit Pune.

4.) Go back in time at Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum

What is sightseeing without a museum?! A collection of over 20,000 objects (of which 2500 are on display), Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum in Shukrawar Peth is an interesting getaway to spend your afternoon. Here, you can check out various sculptures belonging to the 14 th century and artefacts such as ornaments, war weapons, vessels, musical instruments, paintings and everyday use articles made by skilled artisans from the 18 th and 19 th centuries.

5.) Indulge your taste buds at Sujata Mastani

Your sightseeing experience in Pune is incomplete without tasting the popular Sujata Mastani! Essentially, Mastani is a thick fruit-flavoured milkshake topped with ice-cream and condiments such as dry fruits, edible fruit pieces etc. The small shop in Sadashiv Peth was set up in 1968 and still uses the traditional French Pot method to make their delicious and lip-smacking Mastanis. The popular beverage is named Mastani since it looks as attractive and beautiful as Bajirao’s Mastani (legendary folklore). There are many outlets and branches of Sujata Mastani all over the city. The one in Sadashiv Peth would be the closest if you are near Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum.

6.) Some must-visit pitstops at Pune City

Don’t forget to stop by some of the most famous outlets in Pune that in a way, have been defining the very identity of Pune city over the years.

This quaint old bakery in Pune is the go-to shop for freshly baked goodies such as cakes, puffs, biscuits, cookies etc. Visit the bakery and buy your goodies in time, because as soon as the shop opens there’s a huge crowd waiting to get their hands on some delicious baked goodness! A name that’s synonymous with the city of Pune itself! Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale has been the flag bearer of sweets shops and confectionary items in Pune city. Particularly favourite amongst their delectable and wide collection is Bakarwadi, Amba Barfi and Kandi Pedha. There are a number of outlets all over the city and whichever part of town you visit, you will definitely find a Chitale Bandhu outlet close by.  Do visit this shop for buying some delicious goodies and when you do, make sure to buy a packet of Bakarwadi for yours truly! ;) [/tab]

Another favourite from the city is Budhani Bros Waferwala! If crispy tasty potato chips are your poison, then make sure to visit the famous Budhani Bros shop at Camp Area in Pune. Available in flavours such as classic salted, masala crunch, cheese crunch, tomato crunch and offering variations in potato mixtures, Budhani Bros have been satisfying the taste buds of the entire city since 1955. For lunch, you can fulfil your hunger pangs at any place of your choice. If you ask us, here are 3 popular and recommended eating joints you can try in and around the old city:

The yummy and spicy ‘Misal’ at Bedekar Misal is Pune’s own comfort food that can be enjoyed for lunch, breakfast, dinner or even as a fun evening snack with family and friends. The home-made delicious sprout concoction topped with crispy Sev, mouth-watering ‘Tarri’ (Tadka) with the goodness of simple sliced bread goes a long way in making this meal wholesome and memorable. If you are in the mood for Assal (authentic) Maharashtrian Thali then you can head to Shabree Restaurant on FC Road. A local favourite and frequent go-to spot for Punekars and tourists alike, Shabree offers traditional Maharashtrian fare such as Zunka Bhakar, Puran Poli, Masale Bhat, Aaluchi Bhaji, Kothimbir Vadi and variations in Punjabi as well as Chinese food .[/tab]

Don’t worry… we are not just being partial to vegetarians! Tiranga’s Non-Veg at Paud Road, Kothrud is the place to go if you want to enjoy some delectable Non-Veg Biryanis. You will notice Tiranga almost immediately due to the large crowd that is always gathered around this small joint. Particularly famous is the Chicken Biryani (served with Rassa), a recipe that has been passed over generations and a taste that is finger-licking good! [/tab]

Could be a little out of your way if you are in Old Pune, but a visit to this awesome place is completely worth it! Located at Bakthiar Plaza on MG Road, Marz-O-Rin is a food haven offering delicious sandwiches, rolls, burgers, pasta, juices and cold coffee. The interiors are remarkable with heritage-style seating and decor that grabs your attention as soon as you walk in or rather climb through the quaint old wooden staircase to the main restaurant space. A legacy of over 50 years, Marz-O-Rin has maintained its quality over the years to become one of the best places to eat in Pune. [/tab] [/tabs]

7.) Shop till you drop at Laxmi Road 

Your one-stop shopping destination in Pune is Laxmi Road! This busy yet colourful commercial street is a melange of various wholesale shops, retail shops, exclusive stores and showrooms. The road begins from Alka Talkies Square upto the Cantonment Area of Pune covering an area of almost 4 km with shops on either side of the street. There are various stores such as jewellery, hardware, household items, utensils, clothing along with a number of food stalls and small eateries that satisfy your food cravings while you are on a shopping spree! For the best bargains and a variety of shopping essentials, visit the extremely popular Laxmi Road and we guarantee that you won’t be disappointed. After all, a Punekar genuinely believes that there is nothing under the sun that cannot be found at Laxmi Road, Pune!

8.) Beat the Heat at Pu La Deshpande Garden

It's almost evening and the perfect place to unwind and relax is at Pu La Deshpande Garden on Sinhagad Road. Named after the iconic and prolific Marathi writer, Pu La Deshpande, the Pune-Okayama Friendship Garden is one of the largest garden spaces in Pune, built on an area of 10 acres. The garden was inspired by the 300-year-old Japanese garden, Kōraku-en Garden in Okayama. The Mughal Gardens here are an exact replica of the Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhavan. A perfect place to enjoy pure nature and beautiful surroundings, Pu La Deshpande Garden is a must-visit on your day trip to Pune!

9.) Don't miss the sunset from Sinhagad Fort

The final stop for the day and the perfect place to end your Pune journey (atleast for the day)! Sinhagad Fort is a remarkable fortress belonging to the period of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with a history that suggests it goes back almost 2000 years. The fort is located on the Bhuleshwar hill of the Sahyadri mountain ranges and has been the site of many a historic battle during the Maratha reign. It is one of the most popular weekend spots for Punekars who enjoy trekking to the top from the base in Sinhagad village. You can either take your private vehicle right upto the base of the fort or park your vehicle below the hill and enjoy a trek to the top (if you are up for it!). Either way, it is a wonderful experience to visit this fort and witness a beautiful sunset to end your day!

You can include some of the places mentioned below as part of your day trip to Pune. In order to include these, you will have to let go of some places that are part of this list or increase your duration of stay in Pune. Choose whichever places and experiences you think are more convenient and comfortable for you! Pune is, after all, a city that delivers more than what it promises. So, don't be surprised if you find yourself wanting to explore even more of the city during your visit! Make the best of your time and plan your visit in a way that makes you happy by the end of it...

Built by Sultan Muhammed Shah Aga Khan III in 1892, Aga Khan Palace served as a prison for Mahatma Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi, their secretary Mahadev Desai and Sarojini Naidu during the Indian Freedom Struggle Movement. It is a place of historical and national significance; one of the most popular tourist attractions in Pune.[/tab]

Pune – The City With An Attitude (How To Make The Most Of A Day And A Half In Pune)

“W elcome to Pune. Leave your attitude behind, we have our own.”

That’s what my Punekar friend’s profile picture proudly proclaims on Facebook. The legendary Pune ‘attitude’ forms a major fabric of the city’s culture – a subtle fact that I realized I’m going to constantly encounter while in the city.

Whenever I’d talk to friends who had studied in the ‘Oxford of the East’ – whether in law school, engineering, or MBA – they would reminisce about the city with a sigh and a strange misty look in their eyes. ‘Oh, I love that place’ followed by wistful memories of the city’s oft-celebrated campus life, markets, and other such frolic. This repeated reaction from so many people got me curiouser and curiouser. So obviously I needed to go see for myself what the fuss was all about. A day and a half was all I had, but I was told it would be good enough to see this charming little city inside out.

I was waiting in line for check-in when I happened to meet a city inhabitant who got talking about the familiar Pune attitude. She recollected an incident that had obviously stuck in her mind.

I had once taken an auto in Kalyani Nagar. There was a 2-rupee change left, so I asked the autowallah to just keep it. But he actually gave it back to me saying, ‘Madam, aap hi rakh lo. Is do rupaye ka main koi mahal nahi bana loonga.’ (Madam, you keep it. I won’t make a palace with these Rs.2). Talk about self-respect! I realized it’s the kind of thing that can happen nowhere else in India, except Pune.

I had to laugh at that, but realized only later how true it was, when, post my stay in Pune, I had taken the early morning chair car train (Sinhagad Express) to neighboring Mumbai. On reaching Mumbai in all its humid glory, I had hailed a cab to the airport. The driver asked me for Rs 545 at the end of the ride. I took out a 500-rupee note and handed it to him, while fishing for a 50 in my wallet. When I looked up, I found that he had hastily replaced the 500-rupee note in his hand with a 100. “Arre madam, 100 nahi, 500!” (Madam, not 100, 500)  Though I was half asleep with fatigue on catching an early morning train, fortunately I was alert enough to remember that I had indeed handed him a 500-rupee note and not a 100. So I reminded him of the same and he was quiet. Luckily, I found Pune devoid of this trickery.

On landing in Pune, I was as if on a mission – to make maximum possible use of my precious time here. Luckily for me, my proud local friend very kindly offered to show me around. I was to learn further about the Maharashtrian adoration and loyalty for their city, which they repeatedly spoke fondly about and defended given any chance. It was almost as if they worshiped their history, thinking highly of their dynasty of kings and rulers, as well as all the ‘sons of the soil’ who had contributed to the freedom struggle.

Our first stop was the Main Street in Old Pune, which had neat, narrow roads. I had a quick look at The Bombay Store, which housed an exquisite collection of lifestyle products, artifacts, home décor, and fashion accessories – a perfect blend of contemporary and traditional techniques and art forms.

We then grabbed a quick lunch of some mouthwatering chutney sandwiches and juice at Marz-o-Rin, located just across the road. A heritage building that is over a century old, this fast-food joint serves more than 150 items at affordable prices.

My friend told me during lunch about the standard Puneri quirk of food not being available between 1 and 4 pm – as siesta time is of utmost importance. “The residents are very content and not very ambitious when it comes to earning money. They value their afternoon nap more than an extra buck of business!”  That fuelled my friend into another story:

There is a man who works as a waiter in Vaishali restaurant on F.C. road. He met me and told me that his son was an MBA. I asked him why he was working as a waiter in a restaurant. He told me that he liked the work and is content with the money he gets. He will continue to do this till the day he retires.

The city is hugely influenced by education – another distinct aspect I was to learn more about. Apparently, most of the engineers who pass out of colleges in Pune, head to the U.S. for higher job prospects. The parents of this NRI population form a huge number and have even formed an association known as Non Resident Indians’ Parents’ Organization (NRIPO). The NRIPO is a non-profit, voluntary support group for ageing parents of NRIs that provides them emotional support and comfort in their twilight years.

After having filled our stomachs, we headed into the city streets: M.G. road, East street, Camp area, J.M. road, and most of the major locations were all close by. I observed the city’s characteristic coffee house and bike culture – with strong independent women zooming from place to place.

Toward the evening, we headed to Koregaon Park. I had heard a lot about all its hip watering holes. My first stop of course was to the long-running German Bakery, which I noticed looked absolutely well restored, with the only remnant of the blast being the heightened security at the entrance.

On the road just opposite was the popular Osho meditation resort, a lush tropical oasis which people from all over the world visit every year.

Still later in the evening, I relished some native vada pav and chaat from a roadside dhaba on Laxmi road. This was followed by the sumptuous mango mastini, a typical Puneri ice cream cold drink I was craving to try. With that, I was full and my first day in Pune drew to a close.

The next morning, we drove by the city’s cosmopolitan IT parks and SEZs, comprising all the big software and manufacturing companies. After that, I also got to see prominent universities, like Symbiosis College, ILS Law College, Fergusson College, Film and Television Institute of India, and a string of engineering colleges. They had some of the most picturesque campuses – providing a very inspiring environment for studying.

We also drove up to Khadakwasla dam, a beautiful drive on way to the Sinhagad Fort. The area also has the well-known National Defence Academy.

For lunch, I tried George restaurant, known for its diverse continental, Mughlai, and Indian cuisine.

In the evening, we climbed up 103 stairs to reach the Parvati temple, which was built in the Peshwa dynasty rule and provides a panoramic view of the entire city. Next up was Shaniwar Wada, a palace fort which served as the seat of the Peshwa rulers of the Maratha empire. I was also fortunate enough to squeeze in a visit to Raja Dinkar Kelkar museum, which houses a marvelous one-man collection of about 21,000 priceless relics, including sculptures, kitchen utensils, paintings, weapons, musical instruments, textiles, and toys in brass, wood, ivory, earthenware, terracotta, and bronze.

I remembered to grab some of the famous shrewsbury biscuits from the Kayani bakery as well as some of the delicious indigenous bakarwadi from Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale.

My last evening in Pune was spent having a splendid non-vegetarian meal with friends at the Green Park hotel on Baner road, amidst conversation, joy, and laughter – the ideal way to end a superb trip. As I boarded the train to Bombay the next morning, someone casually asked me what I thought of Pune. And for once I too, like the rest of them, got that same wistful look in my eyes and honestly said: Pune – ‘Oh, I love that place.’

I have visited Imam Bara quite a few times. The first time I visited this place with my parents when I was very young. A few years later I visited the place as a part of my school excursion. We also went to the place when my maternal aunt and cousins visited us. I can visit Imam Bara over and over again and still not get bored.

We often visited marine drive in the evening. A stroll by the river side was extremely rejuvenating. I also loved shopping trips to Bhootnath and Hazrat Ganj markets with my mother. We both love shopping and the variety of things we got there was just amazing.

I just can’t wait to be in the city of Nawabs yet again. I am craving to have the delicious kabab roles and korma of Lucknow. I also want to visit all my favourite places in the city and meet my old friends.

My City Essay 4 (500 words)

I live in Chandigarh. I am born and brought up here and I simply love the essence of this place. My city is the most beautiful one in the country. It is one of the seven union territories in India and is the capital city of both Punjab and Haryana.

History and Origin of the City

Chandigarh happens to be the first planned city in India. Its origin dates back to the post independence era. During the partition of India, Punjab was also divided into two parts. Punjab’s capital, Lahore formed a part of the newly formed Pakistan and the state was thus left without any capital. Chandigarh was planned with the aim of giving a capital to Punjab. In the year 1966, a new state was carved from Eastern Punjab. It came to be known as Haryana. Chandigarh serves as the capital of both Punjab and Haryana.

Chandigarh City – Planned and Organized

Chandigarh is known to be a well-planned city. It is appreciated for its design and architecture all over the world. Since it was the dream city of the then Indian Prime Minister, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru special care was taken to build its architecture. American Architect, Albert Mayer was specially called to lay its design. Popular French architect Le Corbusier designed various buildings and contributed to the city’s architecture. The city is divided into various sectors and each sector has its own market and residential area. The city is well planted with a variety of beautiful trees.

Chandigarh’s main attraction is the Sukhna Lake which is an artificial lake in sector 1. It was created in 1958 and has since been one of the most happening spots in the city.

The people of Chandigarh have kept up with the systematic approach it was built with. Not only is the city well designed but it is also kept extremely clean in every way. You will not find any litter around as is seen in various other parts of the country. Traffic police in the city is extremely vigilant. No one can dare to break the traffic rules here. The discipline is maintained at every level. People live in peace and harmony here.

Sukhna Lake – My Favourite Spot

My favourite spot in the city is of course Sukhna Lake. The place is becoming happening by the day. The atmosphere here in the morning is completely different compared to that in the evening. In the morning, the place is calm and serene filled with fresh air. It is the best place to relax and unwind. In the evening, it is crowded with people enjoying boat rides and having snacks. Electronic swings have also been installed for children. The place is full of hustle and bustle during the evening hours. It is a good place to go out with friends as well as family. I can visit the place early morning as well as in the evening. I love it when it is calm and quite as well as when it is full of people.

Chandigarh is not just my city, it is my lifeline. I wish to spend all my life here. I don’t think I will be able to live as happily and peacefully in any other city.

My City Essay 5 (600 words)

I live in Delhi since I was 3 years old and I am completely in love with this city. Life here is fast, people here are full of life and the food you get here is just awesome. The capital of India, Delhi boosts of a rich historical past and beautiful edifices.

Delhi’s Historical Past

The history of Delhi dates back to the 12 th century. It is known as the oldest inhabited cities not just in India but around the world. Delhi has been ruled by several powerful kings including Ibrahim Lodi, Zaheeruddin Muhammad Babur, Sher Shah Suri, Prithvi Raj Chauhan, Qutub-ud-Din Aybak, Jalal-ud-din Firuz Khilji, Shah Alam Bahadur Shah I and Akbar Shah II to name a few. The city was destructed and re-built several times by different emperors.

It is believed that the Pandvas also lived in this part of the country. During that era, the city was known by the name, Indraprastha. The Old Fort (Purana Qila) is said to have been constructed during that time.

Delhi’s Beautiful Monuments

Delhi is known for its beautiful monuments. There are a number spectacular monuments standing tall since centuries. Many new edifices have been built later and are as magnificent. Tourists from around the world visit Delhi to see these monuments. Here is a look at some of the most popular monuments in my city:

Red fort is one of the oldest monuments in Delhi. Made of red sandstone, the fort encompasses various museums. This brilliant piece of architecture was built by the Mughals in the 16 th century. The Mughal emperors lived here for almost 200 years.

• Humayun’s Tomb

It is said that Humayun’s Tomb is a replica of the marvellous Taj Mahal. It is made with red sandstone and white marble. The tomb is an example of the Persian style of Islamic architecture. The tomb is 47 metres high and 91 metres wide and is surrounded by beautiful Persian-style garden.

• Lotus Temple

As the name suggests, this temple is built in the shape of a lotus. It has 27 petals made of white marble. It has nine doors that open into the main hall. The marvellous edifice is big enough to accommodate up to 2500 people at a time.

Lotus Temple is a Bahai House of Worship however it is open for people belonging to any religion.

• Qutub Minar

Yet another architectural brilliance, Qutub Minar is also made of red sand stone. It was built by Qutub Ud-Din-Aibak. This 73 metre tall edifice is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It consists of five storeys that are connected through spiral staircase.

India Gate is yet another historical monument in the city that draws numerous tourists from around the world. The names of martyrs are engraved on this monument. The Amar Jawan Jyoti lit under this monument is a tribute to the Indian soldiers.

• Akshar Dham Temple

Akshar Dham Temple is a place of devotion and purity. It is the latest addition in the list of monuments in Delhi. It was opened for public in the year 2005. Besides the beautifully carved temple and other marvellous buildings, the Akshar Dham complex includes lush green gardens and water bodies.

I have been to all these places and can visit these over and over again. I have beautiful memories of these places.

Apart from the historical monuments, Delhi also includes numerous places to shop around. It can certainly be called a shopper’s delight. I love visiting different markets that do not only give me an opportunity to buy good stuff but also gives me a chance to have delectable street food. I can’t imagine myself living anywhere other than Delhi.
