The research investigates the link between students' level of financial knowledge and their financial well-being. Attitudes toward debt, dysfunctional impulsivity, perceived behavioral control, financial knowledge, and employment are linked to students' inclination to use sound financial management techniques. An online survey was used to gather information. The findings imply that self- actualizing personal values, financial education at home, or formal financial education at school may all influence how young adults learn financial knowledge and create attitudes and behavioral intentions based on that knowledge. These economic dimensions were linked to financial well-being. Students who handle their money wisely are less likely to get into debt and have a better financial situation. Financial decisions are often made by individuals wanting to improve their financial status. They make them in hopes of protecting their assets and improving their well-being. Financial problems can easily get caught up in an unforeseen economic situation. This can lead to adverse effects on the economy at large. Identifying the various traits and behaviors that help individuals endure and thrive in good times and bad is crucial. There has been a fair amount of research regarding financial knowledge and financial well-being. However, most studies focus on adults and self-control on economic behavior and its determinants, while studies on financial knowledge related to adolescents' financial well-being remain sparse. These gaps served as the flair for the researchers to conduct the research.

Financial problem will also affect college student mental health such as facing depression and anxiety. According to (Thomas Richardson, 2013), there is a strong relationship between financial problem and depression. There has been a similar increase in the number of published research on Filipino students' stress-related experiences.
There are also similar findings of this research to Mofoka (2016) who found out that the effects of financial problems on a student's health include poor concentration, anxiety, and depression. Some students can maintain high grades in their education and they did not think that the financial deficit will affect their education.
