ఈసారి దీపావ‌ళి బ‌రిలో అనువాద చిత్రాల జోరు క‌నిపించింది. ర‌జ‌నీకాంత్ ‘పెద్ద‌న్న’గా పండ‌గ బ‌రిలో దిగ‌గా.. ఆయ‌న‌కు పోటీగా ‘ఎనిమి’( Enemy) తో రేసులోకి దిగారు విశాల్‌(vishal), ఆర్య‌(arya). ‘వాడు వీడు’ త‌ర్వాత  ఈ ఇద్ద‌రూ క‌లిసి న‌టించిన రెండో చిత్ర‌మిది. విభిన్న‌మైన యాక్ష‌న్ థ్రిల్ల‌ర్‌గా ముస్తాబు చేశారు ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు ఆనంద్ శంక‌ర్‌. పాట‌లు, ప్ర‌చార చిత్రాలు ఆస‌క్తిక‌రంగా ఉండ‌టంతో  సినిమాపై ప్రేక్ష‌కుల్లో మంచి అంచ‌నాలు ఏర్ప‌డ్డాయి. మ‌రి ఆ అంచ‌నాల్ని ఈ చిత్రం ఏమేర అందుకుంది? (Enemy telugu movie review) పండ‌గ వేళ విజ‌య‌ప‌తాకం ఎగుర‌వేసిందా?

క‌థేంటంటే: భ‌ర‌త్ క‌ల్యాణ్ (ప్ర‌కాశ్ రాజ్‌-Prakashraj) ఓ రిటైర్డ్ ఐపీఎస్ అధికారి. త‌న కొడుకు రాజీవ్ (ఆర్య‌)ను పోలీసు చేయాల‌ని క‌ల‌లుకంటాడు. దీనికోసం చిన్న‌ప్ప‌టి నుంచే శిక్ష‌ణ ఇస్తుంటాడు. వాళ్ల ప‌క్కింట్లోనే ఉండే సూర్య (విశాల్‌) కూడా భ‌ర‌త్ ల‌క్ష్యం ప‌ట్ల ఆక‌ర్షితుడ‌వుతాడు. సూర్య‌లోని ప్ర‌తిభ‌ను గ‌మ‌నించిన భ‌ర‌త్‌.. త‌న బిడ్డ‌తో పాటే అత‌నికీ పోలీస్ శిక్ష‌ణ ఇస్తాడు. ఈ క్ర‌మంలోనే సూర్య, రాజీవ్ మంచి స్నేహితుల‌వుతారు. ఇద్ద‌రి జీవితాలు ల‌క్ష్యం దిశ‌గా సాగుతున్న క్ర‌మంలో అనుకోకుండా భ‌ర‌త్ క‌ల్యాణ్ హ‌త్యకు గురవుతాడు. అనంత‌రం సూర్య‌, రాజీవ్‌ల దారులు వేర‌వుతాయి. అయితే కొన్నేళ్ల త‌ర్వాత ఈ స్నేహితులిద్ద‌రూ శ‌త్రువులుగా ఎదురుప‌డాల్సి వ‌స్తుంది. మ‌రి వాళ్లిద్ద‌రి శ‌త్రుత్వానికి కార‌ణ‌మైన విష‌యం ఏంటి?  అస‌లు భ‌ర‌త్‌ను హ‌త్య చేసింది ఎవ‌రు?  ఈ క‌థ‌లో అనీషా (మ‌మ‌తా మోహ‌న్‌దాస్‌), అశ్విత (మృణాళిని ర‌వి)ల పాత్ర‌లేంటి? ఆఖ‌రికి మిత్రులిద్ద‌రూ క‌లిశారా?లేదా?అన్న‌ది తెర‌పై చూడాలి.

ఎలా ఉందంటే: సింగ‌పూర్‌లోని లిటిల్ ఇండియా అనే ప్రాంతంలో సాగే క‌థ ఇది. ఇద్ద‌రు స్నేహితులు.. శ‌త్రువులుగా మారితే ఏం జ‌రిగింది? అస‌లు వాళ్లిద్ద‌రూ అలా మార‌డానికి కార‌ణ‌మేంటి? ఈ ఇద్ద‌రి మ‌ధ్య జరిగిన పోరులో ఆఖ‌రికి పైచేయి ఎవ‌రిదైంది? అన్న‌ది చిత్ర క‌థాంశం.  విశాల్‌, ఆర్య‌ల ఇమేజ్‌ను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని ఈ క‌థ‌కు చ‌క్క‌టి యాక్ష‌న్ హంగులు జోడించి ఆస‌క్తిక‌రంగా తెర‌పై చూపించే ప్ర‌య‌త్నం చేశారు ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు ఆనంద్ శంక‌ర్‌. అయితే క‌థ‌ని ర‌స‌వ‌త్త‌రంగా  న‌డ‌ప‌డంలో ఆది నుంచే ఇబ్బంది ప‌డిన‌ట్లు క‌నిపించాడు. ప్రారంభంలో తొలి 20నిమిషాల్ని సూర్య‌, రాజీవ్‌ల ఫ్లాష్‌బ్యాక్ కోసం..  ఆ త‌ర్వాత మ‌రో 15నిమిషాల స‌మ‌యాన్ని విశాల్ ఇంట్ర‌డ‌క్ష‌న్ కోస‌మే తినేశాడు ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు. ఆయా స‌న్నివేశాల‌న్నీ చాలా నెమ్మ‌దిగా.. రొటీన్‌గా సాగ‌డంతో ప్రేక్ష‌కుల‌కు సీరియ‌ల్ చూస్తున్న అనుభూతి క‌లుగుతుంది.  మ‌ధ్య‌లో ప్ర‌కాశ్‌రాజ్ హ‌త్యోదంతం ప్రేక్ష‌కుల్లో ఆస‌క్తిరేకెత్తించినా.. ద్వితీయార్ధం కోసం ఆ ఎపిసోడ్‌ను అలా ప‌క్క‌కు పెట్టాడు ద‌ర్శ‌కుడు.  విరామ స‌మ‌యానికి ముందు రాజీవ్‌ లిటిల్ ఇండియాలోకి అడుగుపెట్ట‌డం.. అత‌ను చేయాల్సిన ఓ మ‌ర్డ‌ర్ ఆప‌రేష‌న్‌ను సూర్య అడ్డుకోవ‌డంతో క‌థలో వేగం పెరుగుతుంది. ఇక ఇద్దరూ ఒక‌రికొక‌రు ఎదురుప‌డ్డాక వ‌చ్చే స‌న్నివేశాలు కాసేపు ఆస‌క్తిరేకెత్తిస్తాయి.  అయితే సూర్య‌పై రాజీవ్ ద్వేషం పెంచుకోవ‌డానికి వెన‌కున్న కార‌ణం తెలిశాక‌.. ఈ మాత్రం దానికే  ఇంత హంగామా అవ‌స‌ర‌మా అనిపిస్తుంది.

అయితే ప్ర‌ధ‌మార్ధంతో పోలిస్తే, ద్వితీయార్ధంలో క‌థ కాస్త వేగంగా న‌డిచిన‌ట్లు అనిపించినా.. సూర్య, రాజీవ్‌ల మ‌ధ్య వ‌చ్చే మైండ్ గేమ్ ఎపిసోడ్స్ చాలా పేల‌వంగా అనిపిస్తాయి. మ‌ధ్య‌లో రాజీవ్ పోలీస్ క‌స్ట‌డీ నుంచి త‌ప్పించుకునే ఎపిసోడ్ క‌థ‌కి కాస్త ఊపు తెచ్చిన‌ట్లు అనిపిస్తుంది. ప‌తాక స‌న్నివేశాల్లో సూర్య - రాజీవ్‌ల మ‌ధ్య వ‌చ్చే యాక్ష‌న్ సీక్వెన్స్ ఆక‌ట్టుకునేలా ఉన్నాయి. అయితే ఈ ఎపిసోడ్ మ‌రీ సుదీర్ఘంగా సాగడంతో ప్రేక్ష‌కుల స‌హ‌నానికి ప‌రీక్ష పెట్టిన‌ట్ల‌వుతుంది. ఇక చివ‌ర్లో సినిమాని ముగించిన తీరు చూస్తే.. క‌థ‌ను ఇంత అర్ధాంత‌రంగా ముగించాడేంటి అనిపిస్తుంది.

ఎవ‌రెలా చేశారంటే:  విశాల్‌, ఆర్య‌లు మాత్ర‌మే ఈ చిత్రానికి ప్ర‌ధాన ఆక‌ర్ష‌ణ‌. సూర్య‌, రాజీవ్‌లుగా ఇద్ద‌రూ త‌మ త‌మ పాత్ర‌ల‌కు నూటికి నూరుశాతం న్యాయం చేసే ప్ర‌య‌త్నం చేశారు. యాక్ష‌న్ స‌న్నివేశాల్లో నువ్వానేనా అన్న‌ట్లు పోటీ ప‌డి న‌టించారు. మ‌మ‌తా మోహ‌న్‌దాస్, మృణాళిని ర‌విల పాత్ర‌లు అలంకార ప్రాయంగానే మిగిలాయి. తెర‌పై అలా వ‌చ్చి పోతుంటారు త‌ప్ప‌.. వారి పాత్ర‌ల వ‌ల్ల ఎలాంటి ఉప‌యోగం లేదు. ఇక పాట‌లు మ‌రీ ఇబ్బంది పెట్టాయి. క‌థ కాస్త వేగం పుంజుకుంటుంది క‌దా అనిపించిన ప్ర‌తిసారీ పాట‌లు బ్రేకుల్లా అడ్డుప‌డ్డాయి. క‌థ విష‌యంలో ఆనంద్ పెద్ద‌గా క‌స‌ర‌త్తు చేయ‌లేద‌నిపిస్తుంది. లాజిక్ లేకుండా ప్ర‌తి సీన్‌ను త‌న‌కు న‌చ్చిన‌ట్లుగా పేర్చుకుంటూ వెళ్లిపోవ‌డంతో.. ఎక్క‌డా ఓ అర్ధ‌వంత‌మైన క‌థ చూసిన‌ట్లు అనిపించ‌దు. ఫ్లాష్‌బ్యాక్ ఎపిసోడ్‌ను ట్రిమ్ చేసుకోవాల్సింది. అలాగే హీరోలిద్ద‌రి మ‌ధ్య బ‌ల‌మైన సంఘ‌ర్ష‌ణ‌ను రాసుకోలేక‌పోయారు. త‌మ‌న్ పాట‌లు ఏమాత్రం మెప్పించవు. శామ్‌.సిఎస్ నేప‌థ్య సంగీతం, రాజ‌శేఖ‌ర్ ఛాయాగ్ర‌హ‌ణం ఫ‌ర్వాలేద‌నిపించాయి.

Enemy Movie Review: This Vishal-Arya Action-Film Is Formulaic, Rudimentary, Predictable And Pretty Fun

If you're seen any of Anand Shankar's previous work, especially his debut Arima Nambi and sophomore effort Iru Mugan , you would have specific and somewhat subdued expectations from his recent outing Enemy . If you do, you might just return satisfied.

Enemy is the story of Chozhan (Vishal), a departmental store owner by day and maverick vigilante do-gooder by night. The film spends over 30 minutes establishing his childhood, his father's (Thambi Ramaiah) risk-averse nature, his relationship with retired CBI officer neighbour Paari (Prakash Raj) and his son Rajiv (Arya). These parts are rudimentary. It moves fast, and in annotated milestones. 

Sometimes, the annotations are insulting. For instance, to test the "photographic memory" skills of Chozhan and Rajiv, Paari asks a policeman to pretend to be a pickpocket. This police officer, on arrival promptly salutes Paari, stomping his feet on the ground and all, before asking, "how is my civilian clothes, sir?" Paari could have simply laughed this idiocy off. But no. Enemy is the kind of film that forces a dialogue that the get up is fine, but the over-enthusiastic salute is not, an explanation so stale that Prakash Raj himself was part of one such scene in Anniyan over 15 years ago.

Thankfully, the film moves to the present day and to a zone where writer-director Anand Shankar finds himself more comfortable in: Action. Vishal gets a loud, traditionally-mass intro, standing on top of Singapore high-rises, jumping through glass walls, breaking high-security safes and feeding people biriyani for good measure. Cinematographer R. D. Rajasekhar makes the action sequences, with tall glass buildings, colourful night clubs, big cranes, highway chases and what not, perfectly engaging, even if not entirely innovative. 

That's all there is to the film, though. The half-interesting butterfly effect-inspired trick — of setting up an apparently unrelated incident to change the course of action for something more sensitive — is rehashed so often, it feels ordinary. The boardroom discussions among Chinese businessmen about killing the Indian foreign minister is almost worse than its 7 Aum Arivu counterpart. When one Indian businessman suggests that they resort to murder, a Chinese businessman responds with "wait, we need to put this decision to vote!" There must be a joke somewhere there about democracy, China and crime.

After introducing Rajiv, the film stops taking any interest in suspense and resorts entirely to action. As a result, a lot of clues fall into Chozhan's lap. At one point, a child traces fluorescent tire marks to solve a crime! Chozhan just taps on laptops and finds dark-web account details of an assassin — code name: bounty hunter — who has been paid in bitcoins. They keep talking about the sophisticated nature of a wanted criminal who is never even known to have committed a crime. But on screen, you see Chozhan just trip and fall into clues!

Soon, the film gets highly predictable. So much so that the gentleman next to me in the theatre couldn't stop himself from predicting what'll happen next despite my stern glances. There is little that we haven't already seen. The film doesn't do much to hide its plot points either. But to Anand Shankar's credit, he uses this predictability to fuel anticipation. For instance, we know that Chozhan is going to show up to save the kidnapped kids, but we can hardly wait (or is it just me?). 

Mrinalini Ravi, as Chozhan's love interest, gets 1-2 tangential scenes and duet songs, in which she does the bare minimum. Mamta Mohandas, as Anisha, Rajiv's love interest, gets more screen space and has immense potential, to say nothing of how stunning she looks. But the film squanders it by fashioning her as your ordinary damsel in distress. Enemy doesn't know how to write its women at all — sexual violence, pregnancy, motherhood and needing-to-be-saved is all it can think of (even as a revolutionary dead mother is referred to a couple of times)!

Nor is it sure how to treat its audience. Karunakaran, who plays Vishal's friend, is the voice of the viewer. The hero is expected to explain his grand plans to him, so we lesser beings can understand what he intends. But, most often, his character ends up being the irritating idiot who only prolongs the scene unnecessarily. Enemy also tries to milk the Tamil diaspora sentiment, and fails miserably. There is nothing in the film to substantiate the jingoism, but hey, every film needs a cause, right!

Vishal as Chozhan is adequate. His best parts are the stunts. He is believable as the guy who makes those huge jumps and heavy punches. His weakest moments are emotional scenes and dance sequences. At one point, his discomfort transfers to the audience through the screen. Arya, for his part, gives him a tough fight at being terrible at emotional scenes. Their lack is over-compensated by Sam CS's background score.

The least effective part about Enemy is how it fashions itself as a high-concept film. "Anger is blinding you," "you were always egoistic" and "you're emotionally unstable" are thrown around to explain to us the actions of the hero and the villain. But on screen, they are rather lame. In the climax, this interaction between the two people in the middle of a grandly executed fight is laughable.

Yet, as a mass masala film, Enemy entertains. It keeps the momentum going and comes to a reasonable end. In a way, Enemy is like Vishal's dance — full-bodied, hard-working, energetic, confident, but entirely devoid of knack for the art. That doesn't make it unwatchable though.

Story Review

Surya (Vishal) makes a promise to his father (Thambi Ramaiah) during his childhood and helps him in running a grocery shop in Singapore. As he is enjoying his life along with his newfound girlfriend Asvita (Mrinalini Ravi), a medical student, his locality witness a cylinder blast. Even as he tries to find out the root cause behind the blast, Surya gets arrested for the assassination attempt on India's External Affairs Minister Arundhati Mohan. Life comes to full circle when he comes to know about the mastermind behind the sinister design. Where this leads to, what is its connection to Rajeev (Arya) and his lover Anisha (Mamata Mohan Das) unravels the plot of Enemy.

Artists, Technicians Review

Director Anand Shankar starts off the narration in an interesting manner. But once the characters of Arya and Vishal are established, it doesn't turn out to be a battle of equals and this dilutes the film's intensity. Many of the scenes look out of face and out of context and narration turns predictable. After a point, it even tests the patience of the viewers. Anand Shankar might have thought that the initial scenes test the intelligence of the viewers in the coming scenes, as they progressed turned out to be illogical and forced. Screenplay and direction turn out to be routine and he left many flaws in the story.

Anand Shankar could have come with a thriller his quest for romantic elements and songs placement weakened the entire plot. The clash between Vishal and Arya turned out to be too predictable without any real twists and turns. Had Anand Shankar worked on the script, the result would have been different.

Vishal performed his role effortlessly. The role is tailormade for him and he did well. Mrinalini Ravi is ok in her role. She just passed through the motions. Arya looked menacing and gave good expressions. Mamata Mohan Das did her role well. Vishal and Arya performed high octane action scenes with ease and with good intensity. However their characters are not strongly and perfectly written.

Thambi Ramaiah as Vishal's father came with good expressions and emotions. He made good impact with his screen presence. Prakash Raj got a limited role and he as usual made his presence felt. Others performed accordingly. Over dose of sentiments dragged the film as they turned out to be routine.

Music of Thaman is just average. None of the songs are impressive. Sam CS however elevated few scenes with his background music. Rajasekhar's cinematography elevated the high octane scenes and captured the locations in Singapore in a perfect manner. Editing of Raymod Derrick Castra could have been better as there are many drags left in the story. Production values are good.

Anand Shankar is known for his thrillers and when he teamed with Vishal and Arya, expectations increased on Enemy. However Enemy failed to live up to all the hype generated as the narration turned out to be routine and missed many logics. With an uninteresting story, screenplay, and direction, Enemy ended up testing the patience of the viewers except for a few thrills here and there. Considering all these aspects, CJ goes with a 2 rating for Enemy.

Enemy Movie Review : అంచనాలు పెంచి ఉస్సూరనిపించిన యాక్షన్ ఎంటర్టైనర్!

తమిళ హీరోలు విశాల్, ఆర్య ప్రధాన పాత్రలలో తమిళ దర్శకుడు ఆనంద్ శంకర్ రూపొందించిన సినిమా ఎనిమీ. ఈ దర్శకుడు గతంలో విజయ్ దేవరకొండతో నోటా సినిమా చేసి ఉండడంతో తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకులకు సైతం పరిచయమే. ఈ సినిమా దీపావళి సందర్భంగా అటు తమిళ భాషలో సహా తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చింది. ప్రమోషన్స్‌లో భాగంగా విడుదల చేసిన అప్‌డేట్స్ సినిమాపై భారీ హైప్ క్రియేట్ చేశాయి. అలా ప్రేక్షకుల్లో ఈ సినిమాపై మంచి అంచనాలు నెలకొన్నాయి. మరి ఈ ఎనిమీ ఆ అంచనాలను అందుకుందా? లేదా అనేది సమీక్షలో తెలుసుకుందాం..

ఎనిమీ కథ ఏంటంటే:

సూర్య(విశాల్), రాజీవ్(ఆర్య) బాల్యంలో ఎలా కలిశారు? అనే కథతో సినిమా ప్రారంభం అవుతుంది. సూర్య తండ్రి రిస్క్ రామలింగం(తంబి రామయ్య)కి రిస్క్ అంటే చాలా భయం. సూర్య తల్లి చనిపోవడంతో అన్నీ తానై పెంచుతూ ఉంటాడు. అదే సమయంలో సూర్య పక్కింట్లో రాజీవ్ తన పారి(ప్రకాష్ రాజ్)తో కలిసి దిగుతాడు. రాజీవ్ తండ్రి సూర్యలో పట్టుదలను చూసి తన కొడుకుతో పాటు సూర్యకి కూడా పోలీసులకు ఇచ్చే ట్రైనింగ్ ఇస్తూ ఉంటాడు. ఇద్దరినీ మంచి పోలీసులుగా చూడాలనుకుంటాడు. అనుకోని పరిస్థితులలో రాజీవ్ తండ్రి చనిపోతాడు.. దీంతో రాజీవ్, సూర్య ఇద్దరు విడిపోవాల్సి వస్తుంది. మళ్లీ వాళ్ళిద్దరూ సింగపూర్ లో ఉన్న లిటిల్ ఇండియా అనే ఒక ప్రదేశంలో ఎలా కలిశారు ? కలిశాక వీళ్లిద్దరూ ఒకరినొకరు ఎలా పలకరించు కున్నారు? స్నేహితులుగా ఉన్న వీరు శత్రువులుగా ఎందుకు మారారు ? వీరికి అశ్విత(మృణాళిని రవి), అనీషా(మమతా మోహన్ దాస్)లతో సంబంధం ఏమిటి అనేది తెర మీద చూడాల్సిందే.

ఎనిమీ సినిమాలో ట్విస్టులు :

ఆనంద శంకర్ దర్శకత్వంలో రూపొందిన ఈ సినిమా పూర్తిస్థాయి యాక్షన్ థ్రిల్లర్ అని చెప్పవచ్చు. రాజీవ్ తండ్రి మరణం నుంచి ఊపందుకున్న ఈ సినిమాలో ఏకైక ట్విస్ట్ అసలు రాజీవ్ ఎందుకు చెడ్డవాడిగా మారాడు అనేదే. ఆ విషయాన్ని చాలా సినిమాటిక్ గా చూపించడంలో దర్శకుడు సఫలం అయ్యారు. ప్రేక్షకుడి ఊహకు ఏ మాత్రం అందని విధంగా స్క్రీన్ ప్లే రాసుకోవడం లో దర్శకుడు సఫలమయ్యాడు. అయితే తరువాత తరువాత ఒక స్థాయికి వచ్చాక ప్రేక్షకుడు ప్రతి సన్నివేశాన్ని ముందే ఊహించే విధంగా స్క్రీన్ ప్లే బలహీనమైంది. సూర్య, రాజీవ్ ఏ విషయంలో గొడవ పడ్డారు? ఈ గొడవ లో ఎవరు గెలిచారు? సూర్య కారణంగా అనీషా కి ఏమైంది ? చివరికి సూర్య రాజీవ్ లలో ఎవరు గెలిచారు? అనేది సినిమా కథ.

దర్శకుడి విషయానికి వస్తే

ఇంకొక్కడు సినిమాతో మంచి పేరు తెచ్చుకుని ఆ తర్వాత నోటా సినిమాతో పరాజయం అందుకున్న ఆనంద్ శంకర్ మూడు సంవత్సరాల తర్వాత తీసిన సినిమా ఇది. ఒక రకంగా సినిమా కథను ఎంచుకున్నప్పుడే సగం విజయం సాధించాడు దర్శకుడు, దానికి విశాల్, ఆర్యలు న్యాయం చేశారు. యాక్షన్‌ కి ఎమోషన్‌ కూడా కలిపి అన్నింటినీ మేనేజ్ చేస్తూ చక్కని స్క్రీన్ ప్లే రాసుకున్నాడు ఆనంద్. ముందు సినిమా మొదలయ్యేదే ఫ్లాష్‌బ్యాక్‌ నుంచి అయినా అసలు సూర్య, రాజీవ్ లకు ఎందుకు శత్రుత్వం ఏర్పడుతుంది? అనే అంశంతో పాటు పోలీసుల బుర్ర ఎంత షార్ప్ గా ఉండాలని చెబుతూ రాసుకున్న సీన్స్ బాగా పండాయి. కథ రాసుకున్న తీరు దానికి కథనాన్ని రాసుకున్న తీరు ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా ఉంది. మొత్తం మీద సినిమా ఆద్యంతం కూడా దర్శకుడి మార్క్ కనిపించింది. అత్యాధునిక టెక్నాలజీ, వెపన్స్ వాడకం ఇలా ప్రతి విషయంలో కూడా ఆనంద్ తన స్పెషాలిటీ ప్రూవ్ చేసుకోవడానికి ట్రై చేశాడు.

విశాల్ నటన విషయానికి వస్తే

ఎప్పటిలాగే విషయాలు తనదైన శైలిలో నటించారు. సూర్య పాత్రలో ఒదిగిపోయిన తీరు ప్రేక్షకులను ఆకట్టుకుంటోంది.. ఒకరకంగా ఇది ఎప్పుడూ విశాల్ చేసే రొటీన్ రోల్ లాగా అనిపిస్తుంది కానీ ఎమోషనల్ సీన్స్ లో కూడా బాగా నటించాడు. ముందు నుంచి విశాల్ పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్ అన్నట్లుగా ప్రచారం జరిగింది కానీ పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్ కాకపోయినా దానికి తగిన ఫిజిక్ తో విశాల్ అదరగొట్టాడు. కొన్ని కొన్ని సీన్స్ లో విశాల్ నటన విపరీతంగా ఆకట్టుకుంది. తన తోటి నటుడు ఆర్యతో పోటీపడుతూ విశాల్ బాగా నటించాడని చెప్పవచ్చు.

ఆర్య నటన విషయానికి వస్తే

విశాల్ కు తగ్గట్టే ఆర్య కూడా మంచి ఫాలోయింగ్ కలిగిన యాక్షన్ హీరో. అందుకే ఆర్య కనిపించినంత సేపు తనదైన మార్కు ఉండేలా చూసుకున్నాడు. అలాగే విశాల్ తో నటించిన సీన్స్ వారిద్దరి మధ్య ఫైట్ సీక్వెన్స్ మాత్రం హైలైట్ గా నిలిచాయి అని చెప్పవచ్చు. ఎమోషనల్ సీన్స్ లో ఆర్య నటన నెక్స్ట్ లెవెల్ కి వెళ్ళింది. కొన్ని కొన్ని సీన్స్ లో ఆర్య అనే నటుడు మనకు కనిపించడు కేవలం అక్కడ రాజీవ్ అనే పాత్ర మాత్రమే కనిపిస్తుంది. అంతలా ఆయన ఈ పాత్రలో ఒదిగిపోయాడు.

ఇతర నటీనటుల విషయానికి వస్తే

తెలుగు తమిళంలో చాలా సినిమాలు చేసి క్యాన్సర్ కారణంగా సినిమాలకు దూరమైన మమతా మోహన్ దాస్ ఈ సినిమాలో ఎక్కువ సేపు కనిపించే పాత్రలో కనిపించకపోయినా ఆర్య భార్య పాత్రలో ఆమె మెప్పించింది. ఇక విశాల్ ప్రేయసిగా నటించిన మృణాళిని రవి కూడా తనదైన శైలిలో ఆకట్టుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేసింది. తెలుగులో గద్దల కొండ గణేష్ సినిమాలో నటించిన ఈ భామ ఈ సినిమాలో కూడా తనదైన శైలిలో ఆకట్టుకుంది. ఇక విశాల్ తండ్రి పాత్రలో నటించిన తంబి రామయ్య నటన కూడా ప్రేక్షకులను విపరీతంగా ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ ఎప్పటిలాగే తన పాత్రకు న్యాయం చేశాడు. మిగతా నటీనటులు తమ పరిధి మేర నటించారు.

సాంకేతిక నిపుణుల పనితీరు విషయానికి వస్తే

ఈ సినిమాలో పాటలు అసలు ఏమాత్రం వినడానికి ఆసక్తికరంగా లేవు, బహుశా తమిళం నుంచి తెలుగులోకి తర్జుమా చేయడంలో వచ్చిన సమస్యల వల్ల అలా అయ్యుండొచ్చు అని చెప్పవచ్చు. అయితే సామ్ సీఎస్ ఇచ్చిన బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ మాత్రం సినిమాని నెక్ట్స్ లెవల్కి తీసుకువెళ్ళింది. కొన్ని కొన్ని సీన్స్ లో కేవలం బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ తోనే సినిమా ఆసక్తిగా సాగింది.. ఇక రాజశేఖర్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ గురించి ప్రత్యేకంగా ప్రస్తావించి తీరాల్సిందే. ముఖ్యంగా నైట్ సీన్స్ మాత్రం ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా చిత్రీకరించారు. ఇక ఎడిటింగ్ విషయంలో కూడా కాస్త దృష్టి పెట్టి ఉండాల్సింది. తెలుగు అనువాదం విషయంలో ఎక్కడా వంక పెట్టాల్సిన పని లేదు.

ఫైనల్ గా చెప్పాలి అంటే

ఎనిమి సినిమా అందరికీ తెలిసిన రొటీన్ కథే అయినా కొత్తగా చెప్పడానికి దర్శకుడు ప్రయత్నించాడు. అందులో కొంతలోకొంత సఫలం అయ్యాడు కానీ అన్ని వర్గాల ప్రేక్షలను ఆకట్టుకోలేకపోయాడు అనే చెప్పాలి. రొటీన్ రివేంజ్ డ్రామానే కానీ థ్రిల్లర్ నేపథ్యంలో సాగుతూ ఉండడంతో ప్రతి సీన్ ఆసక్తికరంగా మలచడానికి ప్రయత్నించాడు. ఏదో చేద్దామని ప్రయత్నిస్తే ఫలితం ఇంకేదో వచ్చిందని చెప్పచ్చు. ఈ దీపావళికి ఇంటిల్లిపాది ఒకసారి చూడతగ్గ యాక్షన్ ఎంటర్టైనర్ ఎనిమీ.

యాక్షన్ హీరోలుగా తమిళ సినిమాలతో పాటు తెలుగులోనూ మంచి ఫాలోయింగ్ సొంతం చేసుకున్న విశాల్ – ఆర్య కలిసి చేసిన సినిమా ‘ఎనిమి’. ఆనంద్‌ శంకర్‌ దర్శకత్వంలో రూపొందిన ఈ మూవీ ఈ రోజు ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చింది. మరి ఈ చిత్రం, ఆడియన్స్‌ ను ఏ మేరకు మెప్పించిందో సమీక్షలోకి వెళ్లి తెలుసుకుందాం!

సూర్య (విశాల్), రాజీవ్ (ఆర్య) ఇద్దరూ రాజీవ్ తండ్రి ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ దగ్గర చిన్నతనంలో కలిసి పోలీస్ ట్రైనింగ్ తీసుకుంటారు. ఆ ట్రైనింగ్ లో సూర్య గెలుపు చూసి అసూయ ద్వేషాలతో రాజీవ్ భయంకరమైన క్రిమినల్ గా మారతాడు. అయితే, చిన్నప్పుడే విడిపోయిన సూర్య – రాజీవ్ సింగపూర్‌ లో లిటిల్‌ ఇండియా అనే ప్రాంతంలో కలుసుకుంటారు. రాజీవ్ చేసే క్రైమ్ ను కనిపెట్టి.. అతని జీవితంలోకి ఎంట్రీ ఇస్తాడు సూర్య. దాంతో రాజీవ్ సూర్య జీవితాన్ని ఎలా టార్గెట్ చేశాడు ? ఈ ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తులు శత్రువులుగా ఎలా మారారు? ఆఖరికి వీళ్లలో ఎవరు ఎవరి పై గెలుస్తారు ? ఈ క్రమంలో సూర్య ఏమి కోల్పోయాడు ? అనేది మిగిలిన కథ.

ఇది ఒక యాక్షన్ ప్యాకెడ్ మూవీ. ఫస్టాఫ్ అంతా క్రైమ్ ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్ తో థ్రిల్ చేసింది. అలాగే సెకండాఫ్‌ లో కొన్ని యాక్షన్ సన్నివేశాలు, ఎమోషనల్ సీన్స్ మరియు బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ మ్యూజిక్ సినిమాలో హైలైట్ గా నిలిచాయి. ఇక విశాల్ ఈ సినిమాలో తన పాత్రకు తగ్గట్లు… ఎప్పటిలాగే తన రియలిస్టిక్ యాక్షన్ తో, అండ్ యాక్టింగ్ తో ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు.

ముఖ్యంగా క్లిష్టమైన తన పాత్రలో విశాల్ నటించిన విధానం సినిమాకు ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచింది. మరో హీరో ఆర్య కూడా అద్భుతంగా నటించాడు. సెకండ్ హాఫ్ ప్రీ క్లైమాక్స్ కి ముందు వచ్చే కీలక సన్నివేశాలతో పాటు ఆర్య క్యారెక్టర్ తో సాగే ట్రాక్ లో, మరియు క్లైమాక్స్ సన్నివేశాల్లో కూడా ఆర్య తన పాత్రలో అద్భుతంగా నటించాడు.

మెయిన్ గా ఆర్య తన క్లాసిక్ విలనిజంతో కొత్తగా కనిపించాడు. విశాల్ – ఆర్య మ‌ధ్య నువ్వా నేనా? అనేలా వ‌చ్చే యాక్ష‌న్ అండ్ థ్రిల్లింగ్ సీన్స్ సినిమాలో ప్రధాన బలంగా నిలుస్తాయి. దర్శకుడు ఆనంద్‌ శంకర్‌ ప్రేక్షకులకు కాస్త వైవిధ్యమైన కథను చెప్పడానికే ప్రయత్నం చేసిన విధానం బాగుంది. కీలక పాత్రల్లో నటించిన మృణాళిని రవి, ప్రకాష్ రాజ్, మమతా మోహన్ దాస్ లతో పాటు మిగిలిన నటీనటులు కూడా తమ నటనతో మెప్పించారు.

మైనస్ పాయింట్స్:

దర్శకుడు ఆనంద్‌ శంకర్‌ తీసుకున్న మెయిన్ పాయింట్, మరియు ప్రధాన పాత్రలు, ఆ పాత్రల తాలూకు సంఘర్షణ బాగా ఆకట్టుకున్నా… సినిమాలో కమర్షియల్ ఎలిమెంట్స్ ఆశించిన స్థాయిలో లేకపోవడం సినిమాకి మైనస్ అయింది. పైగా కథను ఎలివేట్ చేస్తూ ఆనంద్‌ శంకర్‌ రాసుకున్న సీరియస్ ట్రీట్మెంట్ కొన్ని చోట్ల లాజికల్ గా ఉండి ఉంటే బాగుండేది.

అలాగే సెకండ్ హాఫ్ లో వచ్చే కొన్ని ల్యాగ్ సీన్స్ ను కూడా తగ్గించుకొని ఉండి ఉంటే, సినిమాకి ఇంకా బెటర్ అవుట్ ఫుట్ వచ్చి ఉండేది. అయితే దర్శకుడు రాసుకున్న మెయిన్ క్యారెక్టర్స్, ఆ క్యారెక్టర్ల పాయింట్ ఆఫ్ వ్యూలో వచ్చే సన్నివేశాలు ఆకట్టుకున్నప్పటికీ.. కొన్ని సీన్స్ స్లోగా ఉండటం, అలాగే కొన్ని సన్నివేశాల్లో ఇంట్రెస్ట్ మిస్ అవ్వడం వంటి అంశాలు సినిమాకి బలహీనతలు గా నిలిచాయి.

సాంకేతిక విభాగం :

ఇక సాంకేతిక నిపుణుల గురించి మాట్లాడుకుంటే.. సంగీత దర్శకుడు తమన్‌ ఎస్‌ ఎస్‌ అందించిన సాంగ్స్ బాగానే ఉన్నాయి. అయితే, యాక్షన్ సీన్స్ లో తమన్ అందించిన బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ చాలా బాగుంది. ఎడిటింగ్ బాగుంది గాని, సెకండ్ హాఫ్ ను ఇంకా టైట్ గా ట్రిమ్ చేసి ఉంటే, సినిమాకి ప్లస్ అయ్యేది. సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ కూడా ఆకట్టుకునేలా ఉంది. యాక్షన్ సన్నివేశాలలోని విజువల్స్ ను డి. రాజశేఖర్ చాలా సహజంగా చూపించారు. నిర్మాత వినోద్‌ కుమార్‌ పాటించిన నిర్మాణ విలువలు చాల బాగున్నాయి.

పర్ఫెక్ట్ యాక్షన్ ప్యాకెడ్ తో పక్కా క్రైమ్ ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్ థ్రిల్లర్ గా వచ్చిన ఈ ‘ఎనిమి’ సినిమాలో యాక్షన్ సీన్స్, ఎమోషనల్ కంటెంట్, అండ్ మెయిన్ ట్రాక్స్, అండ్ థ్రిల్లింగ్ ఎలిమెంట్స్, అలాగే విశాల్ – ఆర్య నటన సినిమాలో హైలైట్ గా నిలిచాయి. కాకపోతే కొన్ని సీన్స్ బోర్ గా సాగడం, మరియు సెకండాఫ్ ప్లే కొన్ని చోట్ల ఆసక్తికరంగా సాగకపోవడం సినిమాకి మైనస్ అయ్యాయి. ఓవరాల్ గా ఈ సినిమా ఇద్దరి హీరోల అభిమానులతో పాటు యాక్షన్ థ్రిల్లర్ మూవీస్ ఇష్టపడేవారికి బాగా నచ్చుతుంది.

Story ( Spoiler Free ) :-

ఈ కథ విశాల్ మరియు ఆర్య ల బాల్యం చూపిస్తూ మొదలవుతుంది. ఇద్దరు మంచి స్నేహితులు. ఆర్య వాలా నాన్న ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్. ఇద్దరినీ పెద్దయ్యాక డిపార్ట్మెంట్ లో చూడాలని చిన్నపటినుంచే ట్రైనింగ్ ఇస్తాడు. కొని అనుకోని సంఘటనల చేత ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ హత్య కి గురవుతారు.

ఇదే సమయం లో ఇద్దరు మిత్రులు వేరైపోతారు. ఆలా కాలం గడిచిపోయేకొద్దీ విశాల్ ని సింగపూర్ లో సూపర్ మార్కెట్ నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్లు చూపిస్తారు. అదే సమయం లో మంత్రి పై హత్యాయత్నం జరుగుతుందని గ్రహించి విశాల్ వచ్చి అడ్డుకుంటారు. ఆ సంఘటనని క్షుణంగా పరిశీలించాక అందులో విశాల్ స్నేహితుడైన ఆర్య ప్రమేయం ఉందని తెలుస్తుంది.

అస్సలు ఆర్య కి ఆ మంత్రి కి సంబంధం ఏంటి ? ఎందుకు ఆర్య ప్రస్తావన వచ్చింది ? నిజంగా ఆర్య నే మంత్రి పై హత్యాయత్నం చెశాడా ? ఇంతకీ ఆర్య తండ్రి అయినా ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ హత్య కి కారణం ఎవ్వరు? విడిపోయిన ఇద్దరు స్నేహితులు కలిశారా లేదా ? స్నేహితులు కాస్త శత్రువులు గా మారడానికి ఏమైనా బలమైన కారణాలు ఉన్నాయా ? ఇవ్వని తెలుసుకోవాలంటే ఈ సినిమా థియేటర్లో చూడాల్సిందే.

• విశాల్ మరియు ఆర్య కెరియర్ బెస్ట్ పెర్ఫార్మెన్స్ ఇచ్చారు. సినిమా అంతటా విరి నటనతో ప్రేక్షకులను కట్టిపడేసారు. మిర్ణలిని రవి , ప్రకాష్ రాజ్ , మమత మోహన్ దాస్ వారి వారి పరిధిలో బాగా నటించారు.
• దర్శకుడు ఆనంద్ శంకర్ సినిమా మొదటినుంచి చివరిదాకా కథను నడిపే విధానం చాల బాగుంది ఎక్కడ బోర్ కొట్టకుండా చూసుకున్నారు.
• యాక్షన్ సన్నివేశాలు చాల బాగున్నాయి.
• బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ మ్యూజిక్ బాగుంది.
• నిర్మాణ విలువలు స్టైలిష్ గా ఉంది.
• సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ చాల బాగుంది.
• చివరి 20 నిమిషాలు సూపర్.
• ఎడిటింగ్ బాగుంది.

మొత్తానికి ఎనిమి అనే సినిమా అన్ని వర్గాల ప్రేక్షకులకు , ముఖ్యంగా థ్రిల్లర్ సినిమా లవర్స్ కి విపరీతంగా నచ్చే సినిమా అని చెప్పడం లో ఎటువంటి సందేహం లేదు. ఎప్పటిలాగే ఆర్య మరియు విశాల్ వారి మార్క్ నటనతో అభిమానులను అలరించారు. దర్శకుడు ఆనంద్ శంకర్ కథను నడిపే విధానం చాల బాగుంటుంది. ఎక్కడ బోర్ కొట్టకుండా తీశారు. యాక్షన్ సన్నివేశాలు సినిమాకే హైలైట్. సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ , బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ మ్యూజిక్ చాల బాగుంది. నిర్మాణ విలువలు చాల స్టైలిష్ గా తెరమీద కనబడ్డాయి.

లెంగ్త్ ఎక్కువ మరియు పాటలు పెద్దగా అలారించవు.ఈ రెండు నెగటివ్ పాయింట్స్ పక్కన పెడితే సినిమా చాలా బాగుంటుంది. మొత్తానికి ఈవారం కుటుంబం అంత ఈ సినిమాని హ్యాపీ గా చూసేయచ్చు .

త్రివిక్ర‌మ్ పెన్నుపట్టిన సినిమా అంటే క్లాస్ ఆడియన్స్ కి కూడా దాని మీద కొన్ని అంచనాలుంటాయి. పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ ప్రధానపాత్ర అనగానే ఫ్యాన్స్ సంగతి చెప్పక్కర్లేదు. తమిళంలో వచ్చిన "వినోదయసితం" కి తెలుగుసేత ఈ 'బ్రో'. ఎలా ఉందో చెప్పుకుందాం. 

మార్కండేయులు అలియాస్ మార్క్ (సాయితేజ్) ఒక కంపెనీలో ఏజీఎం గా పని చేస్తున్న యువకుడు. అతనికి అమెరికాలో ఉద్యోగం చేసుకుంటున్న ఒక తమ్ముడు, ఇద్దరు చెల్లెళ్లు. తండ్రి పోవడం వల్ల బాధ్యతలన్నీ తనవే. తల్లి (రోహిణి) మార్కండేయులుతోటే ఉంటుంది. ఈ మార్కండేయులుకి ఒక లవర్ (కేతిక). అన్నీ తానే అనుకుని, తాను లేకపోతే తన కుటుంబసభ్యులు సరిగ్గా బతకలేరని, అందర్నీ సరైన దారిలో పెట్టాలని తపన పడిపోతూ ఉంటాడు మార్క్. అయితే అనుకోకుండా ఒక కార్ ఏక్సిడెంటులో చనిపోయి టైం (పవన్ కళ్యాణ్) అనబడే కాలపురుషుడిని కలుస్తాడు. ఇద్దరి మధ్యన ఒక ఒప్పందం కుదరడం వల్ల మార్క్ కి 90 రోజుల ఆయువు పొడిగిస్తాడు టైం. ఆ 90 రోజుల్లో మార్క్ చేసిందేవిటి? తెలుసుకున్నదేవిటి? చివరికి వేదాంతమేంటి? ఇదే కథ. 

ఈ కథలో ఇసుమంతైనా కొత్తదనం ఉందా అంటే లేదు. పోయిన మనిషికి ఆయువు పొడిగించి కిందకి దింపడమనేది 1980ల్లో "యముడికి మొగుడు" లోనే చూసాం. యముడి కాన్సెప్టులో ఇలాంటివి వరుసగా చాలా వచ్చాయి. పక్కనే దేవుడిగా ఉండి గీతబోధ చేస్తుంటే ఎలా ఉంటుందో "గోపాల గోపాల" లో చూసాం. అలాంటిదే గత ఏడాది "ఓరి దేవుడా" లో చూసాం. ఎప్పుడో "బ్రూస్ అల్మైటీ" నుంచి ఇలాంటి తంతు నడుస్తూనే ఉంది. 

మరి "వినోదయసితం" లో కొత్తగా కనిపించింది ఏంటి? దీనిని రీమేక్ చెయ్యాలని అనిపించినంత విషయం ఏముంది అంటే ఏమో!

తమిళంలో గంటన్నరలో ముగిసే ఈ కథని తెలుగులో రెండుంపావు గంటలు సాగతీయాల్సొచ్చింది. కారణం పవన్ కళ్యాణ్-సాయితేజ్ కాంబినేషన్, కమెర్షియల్ సరంజామా! 

తమిళంలో ప్రధానపాత్ర మధ్యవయస్సు వాడు. ఆ వయసువాడి చుట్టూ ఉండే బాధ్యతలు కనెక్టయ్యేలా ఉంటాయి. కానీ ఇక్కడ సాయితేజ్ ని పెట్టారు. అతను ఖరీదైన ఇంట్లో ఉంటూ రిచ్ గా కనిపిస్తుంటాడు! బాధ్యతలు, "సింగినాదం" అంటే ఎవరు కనెక్ట్ అవుతారు? 

ప్రధానమైన సోల్ మిస్సైపోయి అంతా కృతకంగా తయారయ్యింది. కథలో "సోల్" మాత్రమే కాదు, కధని నడిపే "షూ సోల్" లాంటి కథనం కూడా పరమ వీక్ గా ఉంది. అసలా స్క్రీన్ ప్లే రాసింది త్రివిక్రమేనా అని అనుమానమొస్తుంది. 

తెర మీద పాత్ర దేవుడా? పవన్ కళ్యాణా? అర్ధం కాక చిరాకొస్తుంది. ఏమో మరి త్రివిక్ర‌మ్ కి దేవుడంటే పవనే అని ఒక నిర్ణయానికి వచ్చేసి ఫ్యాన్స్ నే కాకుండా ప్రేక్షకులందర్నీ కన్విన్స్ చేసేయాలనుకుంటున్నాడా అనిపిస్తుంది? పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ పాత సినిమాల్లోని పాటలన్నీ మెడ్లీలాగ బాది అదే దైవత్వం అని చెప్పినట్టుంది. త్రివిక్ర‌మ్ కి "లాయల్టీ పేస్" అనేది పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ దగ్గర వర్కౌట్ అయి ఉండొచ్చు! దానిని ప్రేక్షకుల మీద రుద్దడం దేనికి అనిపిస్తుంది? 

ఇక డైలాగుల విషయనికొస్తే త్రివిక్ర‌మ్ ని అనుకరిస్తూ ఎవరో అమెచ్యూర్ కుర్రరచయిత రాసినట్టున్నాయి తప్ప ఎక్కడా త్రివిక్ర‌మ్ లోని స్పార్కు కనపడలేదు. 

అన్నీ ఔట్ డేటెడ్ డైలాగ్సే. రెండు వాక్యాల్ని పక్కపక్కన పెట్టి వాటికి అంత్యప్రాసలు పెడితే గొప్ప డైలాగైపోతుందా!

"పుట్టడం మలుపు- చావడం గెలుపు". ఇదొక డైలాగ్. ఇలా వేగ్ గా ఉన్నవాటికి ఏదో భాష్యం చెప్పుకుని ఇందులో చాలా లోతుందని చెప్పుకోవచ్చు. కానీ అది కాదు కదా కావల్సింది. వినగానే "వారేవా" అనిపించేటట్టు ఉండాలి. అదీ త్రివిక్ర‌మ్ బ్రాండ్ ఇమేజ్. అది వినిపించలేదు. 

"కళ్లల్లో కళ్లుపెట్టి చూడడానికి ఇదేమైనా కోకాపేట సైటా"- ఇది హీరో హీరోయిన్ తో కళ్లల్లోకళ్లుపెట్టి చూడు అన్నప్పుడు చెప్పే డైలాగ్. త్రివిక్ర‌మ్ స్టాండర్డ్ ఏ స్థాయి నుంచి ఏ లోతులో పడిందో తెలుసుకోవడానికి ఈ మచ్చుతునక ఒక్కటి చాలు. 

బ్రహ్మానందం చేసిన సింగిల్ సీన్ ఎంత పేలవంగా, స్టుపిడ్ గా ముగిసిందో చెప్పక్కర్లేదు. దేవుడని తెలియకపోయినా దేవుడి జాతకం గురించి చెప్పించిన డైలాగ్ అతికినట్టే ఉన్నా అసలా సీన్ ఉద్దేశ్యమే అర్థం కాకుండా పోయింది.

వెన్నెల కిషోర్ ఉన్నా నవ్వుల వెన్నెలలు లేవు. పృథ్విరాజ్ ఎందుకున్నాడో తెలీదు.  

ఓవరాల్ గా పరమ వీక్ రచన ఇది. పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ తెర మీదుంటే స్క్రిప్ట్ కోసం పెద్దగా బుర్ర వాడక్కర్లేదని డిసైడయ్యి మరీ తీసినట్టుంది. 

సంగీతపరంగా కూడా ఎక్కడా మెరుపుల్లేవు. పాటల్లొ సాహిత్యం గురించి చెప్పుకోవాలంటే... "మై డియర్ మార్కండేయ" లో మొదటి నాలుగు లైన్ల ఎత్తుగడ బాగుంది...కానీ పాటలో ఏదైనా తత్వాన్ని మాస్ గా చెప్పుంటే బాగుండేది... స్కోపున్నా కూడా ఒక సాదాసీదా ఐటం సాంగ్ లాగ మిగిలిపోయింది.

ఇక అర్థం పర్థం లేని కుసంస్కృతం పాట "బ్రో" థీం సాంగ్... "బ్రోదిన జన్మలేశం" ఏవిటో తద్దినం! అసలిందులో ఉన్నది ఏ భాషో రాసినవారు చెప్పాలి!

"జానవులే" పాట పీకనొక్కేసి గాయకుడిని పాడమంటే ఎలా ఉంటుందో అలా వింపించింది.

నేపథ్య సంగీతం గురించి పెద్దగా వంక పెట్టడానికేం లేదు. అది బానే ఉంది. 

నటీనటుల విషయానికొస్తే పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ తెరమీద చూడడానికి బాగున్నాడు. బయటకంటే చాలా యంగ్ గా కనిపించాడు. అయితే పాత్రపరంగా "గోపాల గోపాల" కి కంటిన్యూషన్లా ఉంది తప్ప ఏ మాత్రం కొత్తదనం లేదు.

సాయితేజ్ మాత్రం కంప్లీట్ ఔటాఫ్ షేపులో ఉన్నాడు. నటన మామూలే.

కేతిక శర్మ ఒక పాటలో కాస్త ఉనికి చాటుకుంది తప్ప తక్కిన సినిమాలో తన నిడివి చాలా తక్కువ.

ప్రియప్రకాష్ వారియర్ సాయి తేజ్ చెల్లిలిగా ఓకే. సీతారామశాస్త్రిగారబ్బాయి రాజా చెంబోలు నాలుగైదు సన్నివేశాల్లో కనిపించాడు.

సుబ్బరాజు, తనికెళ్లభరణి, వెన్నెల కిషోర్ ల పాత్ర గురంచి పెద్దగా చెప్పుకోవడానికేమీ లేదు. 

ప్రధామార్థం రొటీన్ గా ఉన్నా, సెకండాఫ్ తేలిపోవడం, ఎక్కడా ఎమోషన్స్ పండకపోవడం, బలహీనమైన సంభాషణలు, కథలోని బలాన్ని చీప్ కథనంతో చంపేయడం, పసలేని పాటలు ఈ సినిమాకు మైనస్సులు. 

సినిమా చివర్లో "ఒక్క మంచిపని కూడా చెయ్యాలేదా" అని సాయితేజ్ పవన్ ని అడిగితే, "ఒక్కటి చేసావ్" అని చెప్తాడు. 

ఆ టైపులో "ఈ సినిమాలో ఒక్క మంచి విషయం కూడా లేదా?" అని మీరడిగితే, "ఒక్కటుంది" అని చెప్పాలి. 

అదే లాస్ట్ అండ్ ఫైనల్ సీన్లో దేవుడు చెప్పే డైలాగ్, "ఏమీ ఆశించకుండా పక్కవాడికి సాయం చేసే వాడికి నేనేమిస్తానో తెలుసా" అని కౌగిలి చాపుతాడు. అదొక్కటీ మెచ్యూర్డ్ గా ఉంది. కానీ ఆ ఒక్క బిట్ కోసం రెండుంపావు గంటల కంగాళీకథనాన్ని తట్టుకోవడం కష్టం. ఆ కష్టాన్ని ఇష్టంగా భరించే అభిమానవీరులు తప్ప ఏదో ఆశించి వెళ్లే మిగిలిన ప్రేక్షకులకి మాత్రం కష్టం.  

బాటం లైన్: "బ్రో"చేవారెవరురా!

Following the success of "Karthikeya 2" across India, Nikhil Siddharth's star power has risen. To capitalize on the craze, he has now appeared in another film with "pan-Indian" content.

Let's see if his latest thriller, "Spy," lives up to the hype.

Story: Agent Jai (Nikhil Siddharth) works for RAW. Bose (Aryan Rajesh), his brother, was also an agent who was slain on a mission overseas.

Abdul Khader (Nitin Mehta) a Pakistan terrorist scheming against India, and Jai is tasked with capturing him. Along with his assistant Kamal (Abhinav Gomatam) and fellow agent Vaishavi (Iswarya), Jai begins his work

During their mission, they discover that Khader is not acting alone. A rogue Pakistani scientist, he has planned a more deadly plot to tarnish India's reputation internationally.

The story is all about Jai aborting the scientist’s plans and also getting inspired by Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s freedom fight.

Artistes’ Performances: From Nikhil to Makrand Desphande, everyone in the film does a routine job. Nikhil in no way suits the role of an agent.

Iswarya Menon's Telugu debut is okay. Abhinav Gomatam's jokes fall flat. Nitin Mehta and Jissu Sengputa add nothing new.

Technical Excellence: The cinematography is the best part of this movie. It is filmed in various locations and the cinematographer captures them lavishly. Background score is okay.

There are only two songs (one romantic and the other patriotic number) in the film and both lack appeal.

Highlights: Locations One or two episodes

Drawback: Cliched story Poor screenplay writing Mismatch of Netaji’s story Abhinav Gomatam’s silly jokes

Analysis "Spy" was promoted as a film that would reveal "India's Best Kept Secret." The makers confidently declared that it would address the unknown aspects surrounding Netaji Subash Chandra Bose's death and the freedom struggle, generating a lot of attention. However, the film has nothing to do with Bose's "secret."

The Nikhil Siddharth starrer "Spy" doesn't reveal anything new regarding Netaji's independence struggle or death. The filmmakers simply used gimmickry to increase their collection in the Hindi market, as films with nationalistic themes tend to do well in North India.

Forget the "Netaji" episode; even as a spy thriller, "Spy" falls flat. It becomes evident from the start that there is no proper story (written by the producer himself). All the standard espionage movie scenes are included.

We learn early on that Aryan Rajesh, Nikhil Siddharth's brother, was assassinated on a mission, so Nikhil Siddharth becomes an agent as well. When their father (Tanikella Bharani) speaks emotionally about Aryan Rajesh, it feels contrived. There is no emotional or patriotic feeling present throughout the film.

The RAW chief functions more like a conventional business executive. When discussing Netaji's "missing file," he sounds more like a politician than an agency leader. Even the film's hero appears to be an ordinary youngster rather than an actual agent. Filmmaker Garry has also included the music from "Happy Days" in the background, further spoiling the seriousness of the story.

We sense a lack of a serious tone whenever Abhinav Gomatam attempts to deliver conversational punches. How can a RAW agent manage to sound like a buffoon? Abhinav Goamatam is also an agent, but he asks foolish questions.

The film only has a few engaging scenes and attempts to generate tension regarding Netaji's missing file at the interval bang. However, when the Netaji Subash Chandra Bose episode finally arrives, it is a disappointment. Rana makes a brief appearance and delivers a speech that sounds contrived.

Though the film has a short running time, it feels lengthy due to the uninteresting proceedings.

Overall, "Spy" is more like Akhil's "Agent" - dull and tedious. The patriotic element of Netaji Bose is ineffective, and the film fails to provide any thrilling moments, inducing a sleep mode instead.
