8 Haunted K-Pop Locations, And The Idols Who Encountered Ghosts There

ghost kpop

Many K-Pop groups make reality show appearances where they will go through a haunted house much to the amusement of fans. The jumping and screaming are all in good fun and, most importantly, fake.

Unfortunately, some idols have had to deal with supernatural experiences in their own companies or homes!

Here is a list of some of the most haunted K-Pop locations:

1. WayV’s old dorm/aespa’s (potential) current dorm.

SM Entertainment ‘s newest girl group, aespa , recently gave a tour of their dorm space and many fans noticed that the apartment looked extremely similar to WayV ‘s old dorm. If the group has moved into WayV’s old dorm, they may have a few paranormal roommates! WayV have had a lot of “incidents” at their dorm including a leaky ceiling and fires, but one thing many fans recalled is that the members believed the dorm was haunted.

i wanna know how is wayv's old dorm ghost doing 😞 pic.twitter.com/UtlBNYMTJt — 小树 ” (@xngqkun) November 7, 2021
1 year ago, when Xiaojun said bella suddenly screamed because she saw something that might be ghost so he got scared and on live pic.twitter.com/AYGzxTCate — 俊俊 ☁️ (@xiaojun_xdj) April 8, 2022

2. The Old JYP Entertainment Building

Many JYP Entertainment idols have talked about the creepy experiences they had in the company’s old building. TWICE ‘s Sana shared an incident that happened to her when she was a trainee. She thought that she saw her friend in a practice room and thought it was strange she didn’t greet her. When Sana turned around, no one was there!

Your browser does not support video.

Sana also mentioned that Momo had an incident the same night! Momo saw an apparition of someone’s lower body sitting in a chair, missing the torso!

2AM ‘s JoKwon , Rain, and many other current and former JYPE artists have talked about the ghost that is near a specific set of stairs that causes people to fall!

3. FNC Building

P1Harmony ‘s Keeho and Jiung guest hosted on the  Daebak   Show where they told some of the creepy experiences they have had around the building. Juing talked about seeing the silhouette of a woman twice while Keeho mentioned seeing handprints on the window of a practice room!

4. Mamamoo’s old dorm

MAMAMOO ‘s Moonbyul told the story of a ghost that appeared in the group’s dorm before they moved. According to Moonbyul, the ghost looked exactly like Hwasa ! The ghost appeared to her when Hwasa was visiting home so there’s no mistaking she had a paranormal encounter!

Solar also had an experience with this Hwasa ghost!

5. RBW Building

Artists under RBW Entertainment have had so many interactions with one of the alleged ghosts that live in the building, she has a name! ONEWE , ONEUS , and Mamamoo have all had incidents with “Minji” and her ghost friends.

Although the members of ONEUS and ONEWE seem to have the most interactions with the ghosts in the building, they’ve made their presence known to others more than once!

rbw finally moved in to their new building but remember when the rbw ghost was caught oncam during one of moonsun’s vlive??? the door kept creaking for some reason and byul kept asking who it is or if someone’s there but no one was answering 👀 pic.twitter.com/6wwPvF4Oby — silver swan 🍁 (@byuliyong) May 18, 2021

6. I-Land dorms

ENHYPEN fans know I-Land as the reality program that created the group. During episode six of I-Land , the trainees insisted they had seen a ghost in the practice room. ENHYPEN’s Jay mentioned that the ghost looked like a person in white.

llll

The trainees decided that the best method of avoiding the ghost was to do everything together. Jay even attempted a sort of dancing exorcism to try to scare the ghost away.

pic.twitter.com/tcfsNBTRC1 — jay pics (@archivesjay) July 31, 2020

While all the trainees may not have believed in the ghost really being there, even fans of the show noticed creepy things happening on the many cams during the show!

yall know the k-idol's ghost myths that if there's a ghost on their mv/practice room or vid, that idol/s will be successful?? this "ghost" has been camping in iland and showed so many times YES ILAND WORLD DOMINATION WBK!🥰 pic.twitter.com/b4c6amObXb — 🌶️ (@iloveheeseung) September 4, 2020

7. SM Entertainment Practice Rooms

Fans of SM Entertainment groups have probably heard about the infamous practice room ghosts. Members of SHINee , EXO , aespa , f(x) , and NCT have talked about hearing or seeing the ghosts!

Early in EXO’s career Baekhyun discussed hearing a ghost while he was alone practicing.

NCT ‘s Ten talked about an experience he had on Instagram live. He explained he heard someone walking behind him but when he turned around to check, no one was there!

ten said while he was practicing alone, he heard someone walked behind him lmao the ghost must be whipped with him too lyk dude i understand how could u not it’s TEN pic.twitter.com/gqVC03DHuy — a. / audrey ღ mark (@markeoljjang) January 12, 2021

F(x)’s  Krystal discussed the practice room ghosts with Super Junior ‘s Heechul and how she tries to think of ghosts as friends.

heechul: are you afraid of ghost? krystal: im afraid of them but i try to think of them as friends hyejin: WHAT? heechul: you're even scarier krystal: i think ive seen a ghost, there are a lot of them in our practice room oppa heechul: 😨 😂😂😂😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/rg2hHlvRdo — ☁️ (@artsyjsj) September 29, 2018

8. BTS’ old studio

BTS ‘s Jungkook recalled this strange and odd story that took place in 2016. Jungkook had just finished recording a song and was playing it back when they realized all of his parts in the song were gone. Jungkook was confused but began recording his parts again.

They decided to play back the song after a bit of recording and heard a voice during Jungkook’s parts that should have been empty!

Do you have any scary encounters with ghosts?

Get to know Ghost, the live band behind BTS' NPR Tiny Desk concert

Get to know Ghost, the live band behind BTS' NPR Tiny Desk concert

When it was announced that BTS would be doing an NPR Tiny Desk concert, fans were expecting an impeccable show characteristic of the band. Not once have BTS disappointed with their streak of 'Dynamite' performances anyway, from its live debut at the MTV VMAs to their America's Got Talent 2020 stint. This particular performance broke the Tiny Desk record of most views of a video on its first day, in just 25 minutes.

In true Tiny Desk tradition, BTS showed up with a live band to support their outstanding vocals in an intimate set at Seoul record store Vinyl & Plastic . Giving more life and adding layers to 'Dynamite', 'Save Me', and 'Spring Day' is Ghost , the four-piece that backs BTS.

Having Khan Sikyoon  on the drums, DOCSKIM on the keyboard, Kim Kiwook on bass and Shyun Kim on the guitar (who performed in place of Soowan Chung ), Ghost 's history actually stretches further than their newfound splash of fame thanks to NPR. In fact, the band has performed with BTS on Saturday Night Live and served as their live band in some of their concerts, especially in their early days.

Shyun Kim may have expertly danced his fingers across the electric fretboard, but that isn't the only thing he's good at. While the guitarist's recent gigs have been nothing short of star-studded performing for the likes of hip-hop artist Zion. T and Korean-American star Eric Nam , Shyun is also a producer and singer-songwriter himself, taking pleasure with his dabbles in electronic music. He regularly posts his creations on Soundcloud and Instagram , where you can also get updates on his latest shows in K-pop.

The band's keyboardist also doubles as the producer for some of the Bangtan Boys' biggest hits propelling them into international fame. His works include the likes of 'Outro: Tear' , Jimin's 'Lie', and J-Hope's 'Hope World' , alongside other songs he has written and produced for Epik High , Lee Hi , and more.

Despite his immense talent, DOCSKIM  has seen his fair share of hardship. Describing 2017 as "one of the hardest times in [his] life", it was not until his breakthrough in 2018 that he stopped feeling like he "hadn't made it", and his new outlook on life was strengthened by what he learnt collaborating with BTS .

LOVE YOURSELF. I’ve worked with BTS ever since their first tour and this message really resonated with me for the first time. In the grand scheme of things, everything we do in our daily lives has to do with focusing on something or someone else. We tend to forget to focus on ourselves; especially in a deeper sense. I’ve hated myself for a very long time. I am now learning that loving yourself first is truly the first step.

It's no wonder why BTS chose to perform 'Boy With Luv' for the first time live at Saturday Night Live with Ghost when you see how far back they go. Taking a look at Khan 's Instagram will show that the live band and the group have been working together closely since 2015, and will continue to do so throughout the years - check out their performances of 'We Are Bulletproof: Pt 2' and 'Hip-Hop Lover' .

On his own, Khan recently showed off his songwriting capabilities while nailing all the vocals, bass and drums of his 2020 single, 'Perfume' . As fellow bandmates, Shyun and Docskim are quick to show their support for the song – and it's definitely safe to say that Khan has a promising solo career ahead of him in addition to his flair for the drums in and out of Ghost.

BTS' Tiny Desk Concert wouldn't have been the same without the depth and pulse of the bass. This is fulfilled by bassist and bandmaster Kim Kiwook , who, like Khan, has a flourish of production achievements under his belt. He has teamed up with Lee Dae Hee for Zig Zag Note , which identifies as a Korean music production team. Under Zig Zag Note, Kim Kiwook has helped produce songs for big names in the K-pop scene like TWICE , GFRIEND , Apink , Onew (SHINee) , and more.
